redwolf57 said:Good guess. Jack is a much harder addict; he checked out a long time ago, he's just way smarter than your darling Philip. And speaking of Jack, sure, he has a few good movies, but most of it is just straight-up trash. He’s just a cool guy, unlike the one you're making such a drama about. I can sum up Philip Seymour Hoffman in one word: Idiot.

I'm not even trying to be interesting.

Edit: Check this movie out—this is where he actually deserved an Oscar, not in that Capote garbage; Before the Devil Knows You're Dead

A few good movies? Low-budget trash? 🤣🤣

You must be joking, right? Unless, of course, you are referring to his early days acting in Corman films, but since 1969—and even through those riding scenes—Jack has been at the absolute pinnacle regarding quality films and performances. I could easily list over 20 of his films that have universal consensus for being high quality and widely acclaimed by both audiences and critics. Yet, you claim otherwise. Hmm, I wonder who one should believe. 🤣😂

Good grief, you make a fool of yourself across this entire forum 😁; you manage to drop some kind of nonsense in every single thread, which makes it quite obvious that you haven't actually watched nearly enough cinema.

briskhound2, come on, just stop it, please. I don't believe a single word of this story about your friend for one second. It feels way too convenient, almost scripted.

Addiction is a brutal, heavy disease. This man fought that battle for over twenty years, and now people are choosing to jump on him? It’s honestly pathetic.

Your analogy is fundamentally flawed.

What it is that you, myself, or anyone else knows is that he battled addiction for over twenty years, that he was a truly talented actor, and that he always presented himself with grace and a smile during interviews. That is the reality we recognize. It is frankly distasteful to see someone disparage a deceased individual in the manner that Padalecki does. I am certainly not disputing that his passing was senseless, but I choose to view him as an actor who, over the last two decades, actually contributed something meaningful to the film industry.

In my estimation, the comparison to a pedophile is completely off base. That is just my opinion. If you find it fitting, then fine.

Honestly, Padalecki knows exactly what he’s doing because he understands he has a devoted fanbase of young girls writing to him and following his every move. Every time someone steps up to moralize or cast stones at another person, they realize he knows how to play that game perfectly.

Rachel Turner2 said:Yeah, take that "class" and shove it. What kind of etiquette are we talking about when it comes to an addict? He should be called out for what he did. How is he supposed to be some role model for kids when he left his own family behind because of heroin? What kind of message are you fanboys sending to the youth? People like him need to be called out to protect others who might end up just like him. Honestly, both him and you could learn a thing or two.

What exactly are we supposed to learn from them? I find it quite embarrassing that you’re sitting there moralizing to others, acting like some wannabe star alongside Padalecki. Sure, decorum is important. But while he's busy criticizing, people are forgetting what a brilliant actor he actually was. He left us in a tragic way, and nobody is disputing that, but the way Padalecki and his circle are handling this is frankly ridiculous. They ought to be the ones teaching us a lesson, 🙄heaven knows how bleak the world would be if they did.

Just get a grip and show at least a shred of respect for the deceased. It's as if he was nothing but absolute trash with zero positive impact.

Good article http://www.fishwrapper.com/post/2014...natural-drugs/

The thing is, since we apparently have to spell it out for people like Jared, Philip struggled with an addiction most of his life. Philip wasn't some hasty punk kid who had a little too much fun one time at a party and tragically died because of it. Philip was a smart, talented, 46-year-old man, as well as a father to 3 young children, and to assume that Philip was behaving intentionally recklessly with the lives and hearts of those that had been entrusted to him in his private life is heartless at worst, and moronic at best.

Addiction is a heavy burden, yet here is someone like Padalecki trying to lecture others. Going online to tear apart someone's private life is a low move. I wonder how low someone has to sink to do that, though it isn't surprising given how well he knows how to manage his fanbase and how much they adore him.

In short, Jared, how about this: count the undeserved blessings that have been bestowed upon you, and thank your lucky stars that your children have a father who's going to come home to them tonight. It's called "compassion" -- why not try it out for size?

Rachel Turner2 said:What's wrong with telling the truth?

One only needs to glance at his previous posts to see the pattern. Though, I suppose I shouldn't be surprised that his little group of fangirls is jumping to his defense.

If you truly cannot perceive the flaws in his statement, then I suspect your own sense of right and wrong might be somewhat skewed.

Just take a look at Michelle Long6's post above.

That is exactly my point, Michelle Long6. It really comes down to basic etiquette. We all know he passed away under such tragic, senseless circumstances. Drugs are a plague, especially the harder stuff, but I choose to remember him primarily as an incredible actor who left an indelible mark on the industry with his brilliant performances. Of course, it is deeply saddening that he left us this way, but I cannot wrap my head around someone like Padalecki acting like some wannabe superstar by posting things like this. He hasn't even offered a moment of silence or any real tribute, yet here we are seeing his fan girls elevating him and spreading his "wisdom" across forums as if he were some kind of genius. It is completely distorted. It’s frankly immoral.

There should be some level of respect maintained.

Melissa Sanchez16 said:That’s his business, not mine. I’m not here to judge him as a person, just as an actor. If I actually knew him personally? Then maybe I’d have an opinion or feel like I had the right to talk trash about him. But it's not just about him—it's about everyone. Why should it be any different for anyone else?

Most of these celebrities have messed around with drugs or booze. So, can we just say they're all fools when they pass away? Take Jack Nicholson, for example.

As far as I know, Nicholson never hid his substance use. The guy was on LSD, cocaine, and weed during his prime throughout the late 60s and all through the 70s. I highly doubt he’s still using today, but even back then, he lived it up in the public eye. Drugs, women—he always did things his own way. Sure, it was foolishness, but that was just his reality.

And what can one even say about this wannabe starlet http://blog.zap2it.com/pop2it/2014/0...ural-star.html

She’s a different breed of idiot. This person won't ever leave behind even 10% of the legacy left by PSH, yet she has the nerve to sit there making comments like this. And when you look at who agrees with her, it's just a bunch of 15 and 16-year-old girls blindly defending their idols.
