How long does the honeymoon phase actually last?

If my memory serves, I recall reading somewhere that being "infatuated" is defined as lasting anywhere from a few months to a year.
My own experiences vary wildly. Sometimes, the spark ignites and vanishes almost instantly.
Other times, it stretches out over years—first as infatuation, then evolving into love, with those intense bursts of infatuation resurfacing periodically within the relationship.
That feeling is quite pleasant, 🙂
