So, since this thread seems to be all about traffic tickets, I figured I’d throw a quick question out there for any lawyers hanging around here... basically, I got pulled over the other day for going 19 miles/h over the limit, and the fine is sitting at $167. I’ve decided I’m just not paying it, but I’m planning on getting my passport renewed soon, so I was wondering if I can actually go through with that without settling the fine first, or if the feds are gonna block the whole thing until I cough up the cash

I’m thinking about just skipping the payment, but I need to get my passport renewed soon, so I was wondering if I can actually grab that without settling up first, or if the feds are gonna block the whole thing until I cough up the cash
