Well, for us South Slavs, America felt perfectly natural! But I guess it’ll never quite click for people like you—descendants of Germans, Canadians, Italians, and everyone else who wandered into this part of the world. And oh, the USA is a "natural" creation too? unknown... I mean, obviously, because that's what Big Brother tells us! If you look at Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay, Paraguay, Uganda, Nigeria, or basically most of Africa, you see all these quasi-states formed from nations that didn't even exist before. It's really just the legacy of neocolonialism, where major powers just carved up pieces of land and handed them over with a little bit of hollow independence.
