We’re actually looking into getting a mortgage in Germany—specifically a home loan backed by a mortgage. We're based here in the States. If anyone has a solid contact, please shoot me a DM.
I personally heard that for someone like Villa, it goes through without any hiccups—they even have English speakers available, so no language barrier there—and you aren't stuck waiting longer than a month. People I know who secured these types of loans actually traveled up there to handle it, but keep in mind we're talking about mortgage-backed or personal installment loans.
