I honestly don't know if anything in the real world can help a person if they aren't willing to be helped. It’s the same deal with religion. Since the dawn of time, people have been praying to all sorts of gods, yet the more they pray, the worse they seem to get. Absurd, isn't it? To be blunt, I think it's the exact same thing with technology. In fact, the more advanced it gets, the more it seems to rot the human brain. Back when I was using a landline, I had a massive amount of phone numbers memorized. Nowadays, thanks to smartphones, hardly anyone knows anything. We gained something on one hand, but we lost it on the other. Ask yourself this: how many of these "technologically superior" people would actually survive a planetary catastrophe? I'd say very few. They’d starve almost immediately because their entire support system would vanish. You win some, you lose some.

Look, I didn't say we could actually stop "them"... I’m just saying it’s high time we step up, take some responsibility, and quit holding our breath waiting for idiots to suddenly start acting like reasonable, productive adults.

Honestly, it’s an ethical obligation for those of us who actually know what we're doing—we can't just let the incompetent run the show. Knowledge comes with a certain level of duty, you know? And let's face it, idiots are inherently irresponsible.

What exactly do you mean by "ability"? Look, I'm not defending these ruling morons, but claiming they lack the capacity to survive is just naive. Running the world takes a certain kind of skill. That's a separate issue from ethics. This whole mess was brought on by the principle of free competition, which practically demands ruthlessness and a total lack of empathy. If the non-idiots can't fit into that logic, well, that's their problem.
