I don't have any direct experience dealing with Zab myself. However, a colleague of mine ran into some trouble with her Diners Club card—specifically regarding a cash advance she’d taken out on an installment plan. At one point, she just couldn't keep up with the payments. This was back last year, and it led to all those annoying late notices and extra fees, not to mention the constant phone calls demanding immediate payment... I suggested she reach out to them with a proposal for an International Settlement, outlining a specific timeframe and a monthly amount she could actually afford. To her surprise, they accepted her terms, and she managed to pay everything off successfully without having to deal with legal fees, collections, or anything of that nature.
It might be worth seeing if a similar approach—an International Settlement—could work with a bank too.
