Personally, I find it hard to swallow the idea that everything is already scripted—that my entire existence is just a movie playing out on a reel I didn't produce. It sits wrong with me because it implies a total loss of agency over my own choices. If the script is already written, then decision-making becomes an exercise in futility; why bother deciding if the outcome is already set in stone? It’s entirely possible our perception of time is fundamentally flawed or simply too narrow. We tend to map the universe onto our own lived experience, viewing it through the lens of a Big Bang beginning and a potential collapse end, mirroring our own cycle of birth and death. Perhaps time isn't a physical reality at all, but merely a construct born from our mortality—a way to count down our remaining days and remind us that the end is inevitable. We fear mortality because we're terrified of the unknown. Religions offer us everything from reincarnation to eternal life, essentially feeding us exactly what we want to hear. But consider this: is it possible that upon death, our soul, consciousness, or life force simply transitions from one state to another, shedding all memory of its previous form? Maybe that energy flows into a realm of pure ideas, or perhaps it simply returns to the source from which we emerged at birth—maybe that's where we encounter the dark energy. We are all made of stardust, making us intrinsic parts of the cosmos. In truth, we are the inevitable consequence of cause and effect, shaped by specific conditions, just like everything else in this vast universe.
