Everything you need for a California wedding in Weddings ·
Taylor Perez51 said:I'm looking for some recommendations for a nice restaurant or even a venue near the San Diego to Coronado area for a celebratory dinner this September. We originally had our sights set on the lighthouse out by Coronado, but our budget was a bit too tight for them, and they weren't really interested in taking us on because we weren't booking so far in advance...

When we were scouting around for places, we really liked that one restaurant over at the Marriott in Miami. They take bookings outside of the peak wedding season, so I think you guys might actually be able to snag a spot if you aim for late September. We passed on them though, mostly because their capacity sits around 100 people and our guest list is going to be way bigger than that. We’re still looking around to see if we could potentially host a reception there down the road.

Okay, I could really use some advice here. I’m getting married in San Diego soon, and I’m spiraling a bit trying to figure out the best way to handle the reception. Does anyone have experience with this? I can't decide if it’s better to just book a restaurant where they charge a set price per head—drinks included and all—or if I should go the catering route and rent out a little cafe or lounge instead. Honestly, the second option sounds way more my style, especially if I can find a spot right by the beach, but I’m stuck on the logistics. Has anyone actually pulled this off? Like, how do those venues even handle the billing? Do you negotiate a flat fee upfront, or do they just charge you based on whatever drinks people end up ordering?

Principal was 400, total is about $0.33. When does the statute of limitations kick in on this? And once it does, will they just drop the enforcement automatically, or am I going to have to step up and argue the statute of limitations myself?

Thanks!

One year
It runs for one year starting from the day after the due date until they actually file the petition for collection
You absolutely have to bring up the statute of limitations defense—because let's be real, nobody is looking out for you; they won't do it officially by default.

(1) These expire after one year:
1) Claims for compensation for electricity, heating, gas, water, chimney sweeping services, or trash collection, provided the service was for residential use,
2) Claims from radio or TV stations for receiver usage,
3) Claims from the post office, telegraph, or phone companies for phone service, PO boxes, or other similar debts billed on three-month cycles or shorter,
4) Magazine subscription claims, counting from when the period the publication was ordered expires.

Anyone got any good suggestions for a band playing in San Diego?

Hey everyone,

Has anyone here pulled off a wedding in San Diego lately? I’m looking for some real-world advice on venues, what a decent photo/video package should cost these days, booking a band, and basically everything else involved in putting together a massive feast.

I'm currently torn between keeping it intimate with maybe 100 people or just going all out with a crowd of 200. Honestly, the bigger guest list feels more practical to me—seems like you get way more bang for your buck when you scale up like that.
