I’m looking to pick up a new laptop in the $3,500 to $4,000 range—something primarily for binge-watching movies and series, though I’d also like to be able to jump into Madden NFL 22 or Football Manager every once in a while. Does anything like that actually exist out there? What would you guys recommend?
I don't actually have a dedicated graphics card—just whatever integrated chip is built into the motherboard... the whole rig was put together at the local Best Buy--
thanks.
Hello there. I'm currently running Ubuntu, but I've decided I'd really like to switch over to Windows. I'm working with an older machine and I have a copy from the Retail Store.
Here are the specs I'm looking at:

Which version of Windows would be the best fit for this setup?
I was wondering if anyone knows where I might be able to rent a wedding suit in San Francisco, Savannah, or maybe San Diego? A good friend of mine is getting married soon—

Then, instead of things just working, someone has to physically haul those forms from the bank for me to fill out before they get sent right back.
It doesn't usually drag on forever, though... maybe a day or two if you're lucky. Unless, of course, the weekend hits. Then you're stuck waiting even longer.
Honestly, you might want to just head down to your bank right now and ask for the paperwork (I can't remember the exact name of the form off the top of my head, but basically the company fills out how much of your net pay is protected, including your commuting allowance, and what portion actually gets seized). Just grab it, then on payday, have HR fill it out and sprint straight to the bank.
The faster you get that paper in their hands, the faster you get your money back.
Thanks for all the info.
It looks like I have nothing left to do but wait until my payday hits on the 10th. I actually headed down to the bank earlier to get everything sorted, and my protected account is officially open—I can transfer funds into it using the token system now. My company’s main headquarters is based in New York City, but since I work at a different branch, the accounting department told me that because I set this up a bit late, the payroll processing was already finalized; so, now we're just waiting on the actual deposit. On a side note, if an enforcement order were to somehow hit my account, how much time would typically pass before those funds are moved back over to the protected one? Honestly, I was telling my partner today that I went to the bank and my unprotected account hasn't been frozen yet. I'm just hoping they don't freeze it tomorrow and then snatch everything the moment the check clears on the 10th... though, wouldn't there be a sort of eight-day window for me to file an appeal?
Hi everyone, I’m looking for some urgent advice here... I’ve been sitting on this debt since last August. I received my final notice back in January, and honestly, after being without a paycheck for three months, I was just bracing myself for the inevitable. It’s wild how everything just hit the fan all at once within a single three-day window. Yesterday, March 7th, I headed down to the bank to get ahead of things and set up a protected account—you know, the kind where they can't touch your basic living expenses. The representative there checked the system to see if there was an active garnishment order under my name, and apparently, nothing had popped up yet. She said she’d go ahead and submit the request to establish the protected status of my account. Then, fast forward to today, March 8th, and the process server shows up at my door with the actual garnishment notice. I signed for it, which essentially means I'm acknowledging it. The paperwork says I have eight days to settle the legal fees associated with the garnishment, but the document itself is dated February 18th, 2016. My main concern right now is timing: my protected account setup isn't officially finalized yet, but my paycheck from my new job is scheduled to hit this Thursday. Do you think I’ll run into issues with the funds being frozen before the protection kicks in? Is there any chance I'll actually see that money in my account?
Best regards,
