Hey everyone!

So, I’m wrapping up my senior year at the University of Pennsylvania and I’ve decided to specialize in Accounting for my thesis this fall.
The thing is, I’m dying to get some actual hands-on experience under my belt instead of just staring at textbooks all day. I’m thinking about reaching out to a local accounting firm to see if they’ll take me on as an intern—even if it’s just volunteer work for a month or two to get my foot in the door.
Since you guys clearly know way more about how this industry actually works than I do, I was hoping for some advice... Do you think anyone would even bother taking me on? I know I have zero experience, but I’m hoping we can find a way where it’s a win-win for both of us. I’m totally down to handle the grunt work, data entry, basic bookkeeping, whatever it takes to start—just please don't make me the office coffee runner 😁.
