For instance, when I watch "Arrested Development," I barely ever actually laugh out loud; it’s usually just a little "hm" moment during the series. I tend to find myself chuckling at a weird accent or some odd delivery rather than the actual joke itself. It's more about the way something is said than what happens. I guess people don't actually have those deep, genuine belly laughs nearly as often as we think.

Do you guys buy this: . Personally, I feel like forcing a laugh might be just as bad as not laughing at all—it probably spikes your cholesterol just from the stress of trying to act natural.

"Dumb and Dumber" probably isn't quite as hilarious in America as it would be over in Canada...firstly...
Secondly...I don't think there's any point in looking for an excuse to laugh at TV shows or jokes...at least not for me. I find myself laughing quite often...truly. I'll get all worked up...just cracking up. There is plenty that can catch my funny bone...especially when I let my imagination run wild, which happens frequently. I once wrote a piece on NATO integration that was so funny we actually had to stop reading it because we were stuck, even though on the surface, it seemed perfectly serious...
