A calendar without Christmas? in World ·

I'm not exactly a fan of the new Pope, but I know everyone's gonna be losing their minds once he shows up. 🙂

Oh, I'll be "foaming at the mouth" when he arrives, and I'm definitely not one of those people from the old country.
Around here, there's this massive assumption that Christianity and Communism are total opposites, mostly because being both wasn't exactly encouraged back in the day. But honestly? They're so similar it's almost obvious they were designed by the same architect.
That said, if I actually started listing all the ways they overlap, I might end up hurting some religious feelings, and that’s not my goal...

The winter solstice is actually December 21st, not the 25th, but whatever—I get your point, haha.
@Jamie Jackson3 Why even bother changing your handle to UnluckyStar? It’s like you're desperately trying to prove there’s nothing more important than being a woman. It’s pathetic... honestly just sad.
You’re totally losing the plot in these replies—one minute you're claiming those reasons are vital, and the next you're dismissing them as shallow stereotypes...
And let's get one thing straight: true biological injustice isn't a woman having the choice to have kids or not; it's when she actually wants them but can't.
Sure, giving birth is way harder than just making a kid, but it's a massive milestone. It's the day people celebrate as their birthday, and an entire human life unfolds from the moment of birth until the end!
The fact that your old man made you? You don't even know, and frankly, you don't care.
@Elizabeth Newman2, you’re acting like a total kid, and honestly, your writing style gives you away immediately. Of course you'll eventually change your tune once you realize that insulting women isn't exactly a winning strategy for getting any attention. Only a complete moron—or someone who's already dead inside—stays stuck in their ways forever. Don't take this personally, though; given how young you are, nobody's actually expecting much maturity yet.

Madonna is Madonna. Even if Taylor Swift from that local High School for Business and Finance was sleeping with ten different guys, she’d get that same label—and it wouldn't even be coming from the guys, it would be from other girls...

If these women actually have any brains, they won't give a damn about what some girl like Ana Anić from Bjelovar General Gymnasium says about them. Madonna wouldn't be an icon if she cared about that kind of noise.
Jamie Jackson3 said:Such an action would do absolutely nothing to rectify the biological injustices faced by women. Nor would it allow any individual woman the opportunity to bear biological children. Science simply hasn't reached that level of advancement yet.☕ Furthermore, suggesting that "respecting oneself and not complaining about every triviality" is relevant here is completely off-base.🤷
Additionally, labeling fundamental issues as "every little thing" implies a significant lack of basic understanding regarding the subject matter. Beyond that, does "every little thing" truly encompass everything being discussed here? It seems a stretch.
I wouldn't say that. We are discussing specific matters that certainly do not fall into the category of mere trivialities.😛

If that attitude has nothing to do with the topic, then why did you bring up wanting more respect and saying people would respect you more if you weren't female? You're right—that isn't "stupid," it's a massive issue. So I'll say it again: "Respect yourself, and others will follow suit."
@Jamie Jackson3
Look, saying "respect yourself and others will respect you, and stop whining about every little thing" isn't some trendy New Age nonsense; it's just basic common sense that’s been true forever.
If you're seriously that bothered by having a uterus, then go get surgery and have them remove it so you don't have to deal with it anymore.🤷
