It doesn't have to mean that... I'm planning to travel in from out of state—and obviously, I want to see what else is on offer and support the bands that actually deserve it... I'll admit most of these acts are new to me, but I've been listening to some lately and I have to say, I'm digging what I hear... It’s great that they’re bringing in some big names—and yeah, plenty of people will show up just for them—but honestly, I think we have some solid stuff to offer too... believe me, more and more people are starting to think the same way...

It’s happening, but I guess it’s not the worst thing for bands just trying to break through... unfortunately, that's just how the industry works... 😠
I noticed nobody’s even talking about the battle of the bands at Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival... A ton of groups actually signed up, which—to my surprise—is actually pretty impressive 🙂
So, let me hear it... who are you guys rooting for?

Journalists' take on live shows

Benjamin Thompson66 said:You watch a show at Madison Square Garden or wherever—then you flip through the papers and read the reviews. Every single one of them claims the concert was pure genius, just "amazing" this and "incredible" that. Nobody actually looks at things critically anymore. How is it possible that every single show is a masterpiece? Whether it’s Billy Joel, Justin Timberlake, or some big international act, it doesn't matter—it's always a legendary night. Has critical writing just died out? Or does every newsroom just hire fan club members to write their columns?
Because they're part of the machine too... so I take everything I read with a massive grain of salt... my own experience rarely matches their hype...
