Exactly. We spend way too much time overthinking the whole process of organic decay. You’re here today and gone tomorrow—that’s really the whole story. And the worst part about it all is that you face it alone, forever, no matter how you try to spin it, whether you look at it through a poetic lens or a theological one 😉
What would my buddy Doug say? Man, at least I'll get some sleep. Honestly, death absolutely terrifies me, but maybe there's some kind of salvation found in a song... A friend of mine from college sent me this in an email, and man, it's heavy. 😲

A peaceful soul
in deep slumber
above the river
fleeing the curse
Searching once more
through the thick fog
there is no one left
beneath the pillow.. 🙂
