Death/End of life discussion in Spirituality ·
I tend to look at things from a slightly different perspective. I identify as Catholic, but I have my doubts about the whole concept of heaven—for instance, if people lived before the Bible or Jesus were known to them, does that mean they’re just automatically destined for hell? 🙄 But honestly, that’s probably a conversation for another day.

What truly weighs on me isn't death itself, but the thought that wherever I go next, I might be separated from the people who made this life worth living. When I think about my wife, my parents, my brother, and my closest friends, the idea of being apart from them is what actually causes me anxiety, rather than the end of life. To me, if we can call it a soul, it feels more like energy—something indestructible. I like to think we simply transition into a different reality, perhaps returning to Earth in another form, or moving on to somewhere else entirely. It’s not the unknown that scares me; it’s the goodbye to those I love most. 😢
