Hold on a second—by that logic, would only groups with at least 50 regular members be allowed to carry banners? How many banners would they even have left? Just one striking flag?
They were jumped by a larger, better-prepared group. The guys stood their ground, fought, and lost the banner in the scuffle. Why should they be crucified for that? Please—banners have been dropped before, even by much stronger crews.
If timing played a role, sure, but it is what it is. Heaven forbid someone from their side gets a bright idea to seek revenge this Friday. If that actually happens, maybe we can all just meet up on the field and collectively pull a mass suicide because we’re trash and deserve nothing else.
