Exactly. That's my whole thing. Why wouldn't I check if the camera actually works before handing over the cash?
If I wanted to buy stuff blind, I'd just hit up Amazon, order it online, and save some money. Honestly, the only reason to even walk into a physical shop these days is so you can hold the gear in your hands and take it home immediately—even if you pay a premium for it compared to online prices.
