Keep it real: Honest feedback wanted

I honestly don't see what the big deal is when it is explicitly requested every single time that you lay out both the pros and the cons. (?)
If you actually include both sides in every one of your "evaluations," then there’s nothing to criticize; that was simply the job you were assigned based on your own expertise. To list only the advantages (or just the drawbacks) would be completely unrealistic—and frankly, that's exactly what people fail to appreciate, especially when your role is specifically to "help others improve."
Sure, someone can always demand a third opinion—that happens in every profession or life situation imaginable—but that shouldn't affect your credibility if your arguments are solid and you know exactly why you said what you said.
Some folks will respect your approach, while others will absolutely lose their minds over it. You just have to stick to what you believe is right and slowly come to terms with the fact that most people just can't handle hearing the truth.😁
If we're talking about professional business communication, honesty and diplomacy don't have to be mutually exclusive.
