Why did Jesus die? in Religion ·
Charles Ross84 said:"Sometimes your conscience asks, what if God actually exists?" ☕

Look, aiming to think clearly and act right—that’s the real goal for anyone trying to make something of themselves. Honestly, God is kind of a non-factor here. Besides, half the evil in this world happens because people go screaming about His name anyway. So what if He does exist? What if hell is just packed with people whose only "sin" was having an ounce of doubt or skepticism? Is that really the bottom line of the whole divine existence thing—that doubting is the ultimate crime? To me, the only thing that matters is making sure you don't reach the end of your life with a massive pile of regrets or stuff you wish you hadn't done. And if some guy shows up at the finish line and tries to tell me, "But that wasn't enough," well, screw him and his philosophy. At that point, hell wouldn't even be the worst thing that could happen to me.

75. Judgment Day - The End of the World
Mecca - 40 verses

In the name of God, the Merciful, the Most Merciful!

1. I swear by the day when the End of the world arrives

2. and by the soul that reproaches itself.

3. Does man truly believe we cannot gather his bones together?

4. We certainly can; We can recreate his very fingerprints.

5. Yet, man desires to sin while he lives,

6. and asks: "When will the End of the world come?"

7. When terror freezes the gaze,

8. and the Moon is eclipsed,

9. and the Sun and Moon merge—

10. on that day, man will cry out: "Where can I flee?"

11. Nowhere! There is no refuge.

12. On that day, you will be surrendered to your Lord,

13. and on that day, man will be informed of everything he prepared and everything he missed,

14. and man himself will testify against himself,

15. making any excuses utterly useless.

16. Do not recite the Quran with your tongue merely to memorize it quickly,

17. for We are responsible for gathering it so that you may read it.

18. And when We recite it, you follow its recitation,

19. and afterward, We are responsible for explaining it.

20. Truly, you all love this passing world,

21. and you show no concern for the next.

22. On that day, some faces will be radiant,

23. gazing upon their Lord;

24. and on that day, some faces will be grim,

25. awaiting a heavy misfortune.

26. Take heed! When the soul reaches the throat,

27. and the call goes out: "Is there no doctor?"

28. and it becomes clear that this is the moment of reckoning,

29. and the limbs are paralyzed,

30. on that day, you will be brought before your Lord:

31. "He did not believe, he did not pray,

32. instead, he rejected and turned his back,

33. and walked away arrogantly among his own."

34. Woe to you! Woe to you!

35. And once more: Woe to you! Woe to you!

36. Does man think he will be left to himself, without having to answer for anything?

37. Was he not a mere drop that is cast,

38. then a clot, to which He determines a measure and shapes a form,

39. and from him creates two kinds, male and female,

40. and is He not able to bring the dead back to life?

God is greatest 👍

Peter Martin said:Fine... fine... that’s between you and your father and whatever little secrets you two whisper into your pillows at night... Good grief, the obsession people have nowadays with broadcasting their most private business to the entire world is just manic... 🙄

If you can actually prove that God doesn't exist, you won't need any answers—and you certainly won't have to waste your breath asking believers if He's real!
Best of luck with that!!

Peter Martin said:Ah... here we go again... 🙄 this entire nation is suffering from massive PTSD... 🤷

Look, for me, Jesus isn't God or some derivative version of Horus—you know? I see Jesus as a messenger sent by God. I don't subscribe to the Trinity concept... I believe in one God. Period.

Peter Martin said:And he whispered it only to her ear. 😁

Truth eventually surfaces while the lies just sink to the bottom. 😉

Peter Martin said:The inscriptions found scattered across the Egyptian desert—their sheer artistic caliber is something truly worth dissecting. 😁 And what exactly constitutes your evidence?

If you're referring to Horus, then Paul was the one who stripped that away. 😉
The teachings of Jesus were fundamentally different from everything later attributed to him!

He’s your religious leader—I assume you're Catholic🙂

Paul Kern12 said:True Jews and Christians wouldn't even attend—given that worshiping idols is strictly forbidden.

Oh, please—tell that to the Pope.😁

analogstag29 said:I’ve always felt that atheism is actually at the very core of any kind of true belief system; I mean, you can't really claim to be a believer in anything unless you first accept the absence of other competing truths. But, honestly, that kind of deep, individualistic contemplation is probably only for the thinkers, the people who want to dig into the "why" of it all. For everyone else out there—the folks who aren't looking to reinvent the wheel—there are these massive, organized religious institutions that basically hand you a manual, teaching you exactly what to believe and how to practice it without having to do the heavy lifting yourself.

Look, if you're an atheist, you don't believe in God, which means eventually if you embrace faith you become a believer... but if you stay an atheist until the day you die, then you never truly believed that God exists!

the reality is, we aren't looking at a single atheist—we're looking at a billion. 😉

Atheists are talking.😢

Dennis Moore4 said:So you can go about your business just like always.
The truth is, without atheists, you’d be completely lost.
You wouldn't be anything at all.

Life just keeps moving, years slip through our fingers while we scramble to build up wealth—only to realize we can't take a single cent with us when we die. It all stays behind here on Earth... life is a pretty heavy thing to carry.😢

Dennis Moore4 said:When the masses are fractured and restless, they demand a scapegoat—a sacrificial lamb to blame—just to find some semblance of unity, even if it’s only temporary.

Why does life seem to slip through our fingers so fast? And honestly, what is the point of it all for an atheist?😉

Peter Martin said:That simply isn't the truth, you know... You're living in a delusion. But I will lay out the actual facts for you. It all traces back to sometime between 60 and 100 AD, when a certain contemporary February wrote a terrible piece of fiction regarding the Jewish obsession with a Messiah. However, a famous Roman director who spent his summer vacation in Alexandria dismissed her scribbles with pure contempt, so she handed those manuscripts over to some Egyptian shepherds instead. Everything after that is just history playing out. Among those illiterate shepherds, oral tradition first spun a myth, which eventually led some people to actually believe in it. That is how the first Christians were formed around campfires in the Egyptian desert, gradually spreading through Greek and Jewish cities across the entire Mediterranean. This is precisely why the oldest writings were discovered in the Egyptian desert...😁

You’re living in a fantasy😁 because there isn't a shred of evidence for what you're saying; it's all just hearsay and rumors.😉

Peter Martin said:I honestly don't see why everyone is making such a massive fuss over this... Jesus died because he isn't alive anymore. If he even existed in the first place. 😁

He absolutely existed—one hundred percent. He wasn't "dead," he was ascended; he's still very much alive... he won't face death again until he returns the second time!

Linda Walker37 said:Idols are false gods that people bow down to through images and statues. They aren't the actual images of the Virgin Mary
or Jesus...

I mean, can you really "draw" or paint God and put him in a frame? Not really. That’s not God; that’s just an idol that a person sat down and sketched out themselves.😕
Why did Jesus die? in Religion ·
Paul Kern12 said:It was actually painters during the Middle Ages who depicted Jesus that way. I think you’ve missed the mark again here.
Anything other than God—whom we are actually making a pilgrimage toward—is nothing more than an IDOL!!!

I mean, can you even paint or draw "God"... 😕,
idols are things you actually worship and pray to—you know, statues, icons of saints, deceased figures, or even a patron saint of a specific city and all that... But pilgrimages? Those are practiced by almost every faith out there.

Look, I'm not trying to read your mind here, just explain yourself.😁

Dennis Moore4 said:So, is it a one-eyed monster or what???
And did you even grasp what I was getting at with my previous point??
The Underworld and the gatekeeper??

If that’s where you're headed with this, then it can't be Muhammad, right?😁 Or am I missing something?
Why did Jesus die? in Religion ·
Dennis Moore4 said:If Muhammad is indeed in the Underworld, then he isn't far from the one who holds the keys to that realm, just as it’s written in Revelation.
So, you really have nothing to worry about..

Does anyone actually know what the Antichrist will look like when he shows up right before the end of the world?
