Look, can someone just permanently ban me from this forum? I already put in a request once, but apparently, nothing happened. Honestly, I don't want to be a jerk and keep pestering the mods to do their jobs, so let's just get this over with.

It’s pretty hard to walk away once you get hooked on this kind of back-and-forth. But whatever, I won't make a whole thing out of it.

Why did Jesus die? in Religion ·
His soul just slipped out for a second to go down to hell and clean things up, then popped back into his body to head home to his heavenly Father.
What’s the deal with ancient Egyptian religion, though? Basically, when a pharaoh dies, they bury him, the soul finds its way back to the body, and on that long trek to reunite with God, he has to pass through hell, face some judgment—where things might get a little dicey depending on how he played it—and eventually merge with Ra.

What if hell is just packed with people whose only "sin" was having an ounce of doubt or skepticism? Is that really the bottom line of the whole divine existence thing—that doubting is the ultimate crime? To me, the only thing that matters is making sure you don't reach the end of your life with a massive pile of regrets or stuff you wish you hadn't done. And if some guy shows up at the finish line and tries to tell me, "But that wasn't enough," well, screw him and his philosophy. At that point, hell wouldn't even be the worst thing that could happen to me.

75. Judgment Day - The End of the World
Mecca - 40 verses

In the name of God, the Merciful, the Most Merciful!

1. I swear by the day when the End of the world arrives

2. and by the soul that reproaches itself.

3. Does man truly believe we cannot gather his bones together?

4. We certainly can; We can recreate his very fingerprints.

5. Yet, man desires to sin while he lives,

6. and asks: "When will the End of the world come?"

7. When terror freezes the gaze,

8. and the Moon is eclipsed,

9. and the Sun and Moon merge—

10. on that day, man will cry out: "Where can I flee?"

11. Nowhere! There is no refuge.

12. On that day, you will be surrendered to your Lord,

13. and on that day, man will be informed of everything he prepared and everything he missed,

14. and man himself will testify against himself,

15. making any excuses utterly useless.

16. Do not recite the Quran with your tongue merely to memorize it quickly,

17. for We are responsible for gathering it so that you may read it.

18. And when We recite it, you follow its recitation,

19. and afterward, We are responsible for explaining it.

20. Truly, you all love this passing world,

21. and you show no concern for the next.

22. On that day, some faces will be radiant,

23. gazing upon their Lord;

24. and on that day, some faces will be grim,

25. awaiting a heavy misfortune.

26. Take heed! When the soul reaches the throat,

27. and the call goes out: "Is there no doctor?"

28. and it becomes clear that this is the moment of reckoning,

29. and the limbs are paralyzed,

30. on that day, you will be brought before your Lord:

31. "He did not believe, he did not pray,

32. instead, he rejected and turned his back,

33. and walked away arrogantly among his own."

34. Woe to you! Woe to you!

35. And once more: Woe to you! Woe to you!

36. Does man think he will be left to himself, without having to answer for anything?

37. Was he not a mere drop that is cast,

38. then a clot, to which He determines a measure and shapes a form,

39. and from him creates two kinds, male and female,

40. and is He not able to bring the dead back to life?

God is basically everywhere, you know? Like, in our thoughts, when we're hanging out with friends... I guess it might be way better to just imagine sitting down at a Starbucks for a coffee and having a real conversation with Him, rather than picturing Him as this dark, scary fog just waiting to get angry and punish us for everything. It feels kind of silly to just constantly nag Him for stuff, like, "Please, please, please, I need a new car or a house," you know? 😁

I feel like you can connect with God while you're driving to work or just chilling at the park, instead of thinking it only happens in a church on Sunday mornings or when you're desperate for something you really want.

I just can't focus. Every time I try, I see this old guy with a massive beard and this intense stare burned into my brain—you know, the kind of imagery they used to bombard us with back in elementary school religion class. It wasn't even teaching; it was basically psychological warfare. You’d open up your little workbook and the first thing staring back at you would be some bearded dude looking like he stepped straight out of a movie as Merlin.

So, which gods are actually "real"? To me, they all feel exactly the same—totally fake, whether you're looking at a painting or some statue.
But then again, like Mark Twain once said:

It’s easy to kill the truth, but a well-told lie? That lives forever.

And Harold Reyes3 is certainly set in his ways, maybe even a bit aggressive, but I don't think that necessarily means he's just being arrogant or clueless, because at least he's actually laying out his arguments, which I think most people here aren't really doing... To be honest, the idea that Christians chose to ignore Jesus in favor of someone else feels like a bit of a stretch to me, but man, it really does make me wonder.

What’s weird about that? They weren't really listening to him when he was alive either. Especially his apostles. Doubt, betrayal, cowardice... they didn't even show up at his grave until the women basically dragged them there.

Based on everything we’re seeing here, it looks like Jesus plays a much bigger role in God's plans than Muhammad does.

Harold Reyes3 said:
So you're saying Muhammad has definitely moved on from this life, while Jesus will return only to die once more?

Exactly. Muhammad has left this world behind, but Jesus is still alive in heaven. He’s scheduled to return right toward the end of times. His return is a massive sign of doomsday; shortly after he passes again, doomsday hits and humanity reaches its finish line.

Jesus didn't actually die on the cross. Instead, someone else who looked just like him was crucified. Jesus is coming back to tell the world the truth about his identity. During that time, everyone will follow him, and he'll judge according to the Quran, which will lead to a massive shift toward Islam.

Since Jesus isn't dead, and God decreed that every soul must eventually pass away, Jesus will return to fulfill that requirement too.

The era of his return will be defined by massive conflict—we're talking World War III territory. But once peace finally takes hold, people will live in total abundance. We'll see absolute justice established on Earth for a few years, unlike anything we've ever seen before.
not to mention anything like it ever again.

Muhammad actually saw Jesus during the night of the Mi'raj and spoke with him. He described him as a very handsome man with long, curly hair falling to his shoulders, looking almost damp, like he had just stepped out of the shower.

If we live long enough to see the future where Jesus returns, we might actually catch a glimpse of him or even talk to him here on Earth. He'll live, get married, have kids, and eventually be laid to rest next to Muhammad in Medina, where Muslims will handle the burial.

I'm certain Jesus's return will trigger two polar opposite reactions: pure awe and total panic.

The awe comes from seeing a man who lived 2,000 years ago—someone without a father, someone who raised the dead and healed the blind and the sick. He's one of the closest people to God. Just watching him on a TV screen would be enough to leave you speechless, let alone being there in prayer and talking to him face-to-face.

Then there's the inevitable panic. That’s why his return is such a huge omen of doomsday; his death marks the beginning of the end. Just the thought that our world is ending and judgment day is arriving—when God judges all of humanity—would give you a stomach ache so intense it feels like your guts are twisting, leaving you blinded by darkness and gripped by nerves that won't quit.

So, uh, where's the actual proof for any of this?

Harold Reyes3 said:
That’s an interesting comparison. But let's be real—there are fundamental differences here that create a massive divide. It's a gap that isn't going away anytime soon. The only way forward is to face reality and leave the final judgment to God.

Those divides could vanish overnight if Christians were actually more devoted to Jesus and His teachings, rather than following people who twisted His message.

Let me give you a clear example. If Christians had rejected Paul, they would have had every reason to. He showed up after Jesus ascended and completely distorted what Jesus taught. Even though Jesus Himself said the old laws shouldn't be tossed aside, Paul went ahead and changed things, and Christians just followed his lead. Instead of sticking to what Jesus actually said, they chased after questionable figures and became followers of Paul instead of Jesus. Meanwhile, we Muslims are currently the only true followers of Jesus' actual teachings on Earth. If anyone is skeptical, just look at those 11 points above; it makes it crystal clear why we are the ones holding onto the true path.

If Christians did the same thing—if they just followed Jesus and cut Paul out—they would be almost indistinguishable from Muslims. You wouldn't even be able to tell who was who.

Just imagine if we had done that! If we Muslims had rejected Muhammad's teachings and started following some shady guy after Muhammad passed away, where would that have left us? 🙄It would be a complete disaster.

To stay on the right track, you have to stick with God's messenger. They are sent to explain the faith and show the way, not some random mortal with a suspicious doctrine. That’s exactly why we Muslims hold so tightly to our faith, the Quran, and the messenger Muhammad. We’ve maintained this unbroken connection for over 1,400 years. But you Christians lost touch with Jesus the moment you started following Paul and his warped versions of things. I’m certain that if Jesus appeared on Earth today, He wouldn't recognize modern Christianity at all. To Him, it would feel like a foreign country.

The Bible says Jesus prayed to God by falling face-down on the ground. Imagine what He’d think seeing how people pray in a church today—sitting in chairs, reading little poems, and singing loudly. Compare that to Muslims, who bow to God in lines exactly the way Jesus did. Where do you think He’d feel more at home? In a mosque among Muslims, or in a church sitting in a pew?
Look at Muslim women; they cover themselves just like His mother Mary and the other women of that era did. Then look at grandmas in churches singing songs written by who-knows-who. It’s obvious He’d be with the Muslims. After all, Muhammad says that when Jesus returns to Earth in the future, He will be with the Muslims, praying alongside them, and eventually laid to rest near Muhammad's grave.

So you're telling me Muhammad is officially done with this life, but Jesus is coming back just to die all over again? Cool.

Harold Reyes3 said:
If you look at it objectively, Christianity and Islam are actually pretty similar.

The core reason they feel so alike is because they share the exact same source. Any differences you see? Those were just human tweaks along the way.

In Islam, we recognize Mary, Jesus, John the Baptist, Zechariah, Joseph, Jacob, Abraham, Moses, David, Solomon, Elijah, Aaron, Adam, Noah, Lot, Isaac, Ishmael, and more.

They are all Godly messengers and prophets.

God has always sent down one single faith. It’s just that after these Godly messengers passed away, people started slapping different names on it. For example, Judaism was named after Judah, one of Abraham's great-grandchildren. Christianity took shape after Jesus ascended, specifically through Paul's shift where he moved away from the old laws to establish the faith. Finally, in the Quran, God Himself chose the word Islam for the faith brought by Muhammad—but it's the same message preached by Abraham, Moses, and Jesus. Jesus said he was leaving peace for the world; "Islam" comes from the root word *selam*, which means peace. If you compare what the Godly messengers did in the Bible to what is practiced in Islam, you'll see it's really just one and the same religion.

1. Jesus washed before prayer and prostrated himself before God, just like Muslims do.

2. Jesus greeted his friends with "Peace be with you," which is exactly how we say "Assalamu Alaikum."

3. Jesus didn't eat pork or drink alcohol, and neither do we.

4. Jesus fasted, and we fast too.

5. Jesus refers to God as Allah, just as Muslims, Christians, and Jews do in the Middle East.

6. According to the Bible, women are meant to cover their heads, which is exactly what Muslim women do.

7. Jesus practiced ablution, and so do Muslims.

8. The Bible forbids images and idols of humans or animals, and Islam has the exact same ban. No difference there.

9. Interest is forbidden in the Bible, just as it is forbidden in Islam.

10. Jesus wore a beard, much like Muslims do.

11. Jesus believed in one God, and we Muslims believe in one God.

All these points prove that the laws in the Bible and the Quran come from the very same source.

Nice comparison there. But honestly, there are some massive, irreconcilable differences that tear that unity apart. That gap isn't going anywhere. The only real move is to just accept reality and leave the final call to God.

Is there a list somewhere of all these prophets? Or maybe just a ranking of the oldest ones?

There isn't a complete list of every single prophet, just some of them.

It’s like looking at a family tree where some branches are missing. Adam was the very first, while Muhammad was the most recent. Jesus was the second to last Godly prophet.

If you look at it from a neutral perspective, Christianity and Islam are actually pretty similar

So how can we actually know there were that many?

Here’s the deal:

One time, Abu Dharr, a close friend of Muhammad, asked him, "Messenger of God, how many prophets have there been?" He answered, "One hundred and twenty-four thousand." Then he followed up with, "Messenger of God, how many messengers were among them?" To that, the answer was three hundred and thirteen.".

Think of it like this: prophets didn't receive books, but messengers did.

Does a list of those messengers actually exist somewhere? Or even just a heads-up on who the oldest ones were?

Not at all! Long before Muhammad or Jesus, there were about 124,000 Messengers of God throughout history. We know the names of some, but others remain unknown.

So, if we don't know most of them, how can we even claim there were that many?
