Why did Jesus die?

A look at the crucifixion
God saved Jesus for the end of times. In the Quran, Allah says:
"And because of their words: 'We have killed the Messiah, Jesus, the son of Mary, the messenger of Allah!' But they did not kill him, nor did they crucify him; rather, it was made to appear so to them. Those who were divided in opinion were in doubt about it; they had no knowledge of it, they were only speculating; and they certainly did not kill him, but Allah raised him up to Himself. And Allah is Almighty and Wise." An-Nisa, 157-158.
The Jews and Romans joyfully proclaimed, "We killed the Messiah!" But they didn't kill him, nor did they crucify him. He was saved by God and taken up to heaven.
Allah says in Surah Ali-Imran, 54-58:
"The disbelievers plotted, but Allah thwarted their plot, for He is the best of planners. And when Allah said, 'O Jesus, I will take you and raise you to Myself and protect you from the disbelievers and make those who follow you superior to the disbelievers until Doomsday. Then to Me you will all return, and I will judge between you concerning that over which you used to differ: as for those who disbelieve and do evil deeds, I will punish them with a terrible punishment in this world and the next, and no one will be able to help them.' ...But as for those who believe and do good works, He will give them a full reward. — Allah does not love oppressors. These are the verses of the wise Quran."
As Muslims, we believe that one day the Antichrist will arrive, and then Jesus will be sent down from heaven to kill the Antichrist. He will live among Muslims and rule over them. During that era, the Earth will be filled with justice and prosperity.
Muhammad (peace be upon him) said:
"Then the Earth will be told, 'Produce your fruits and be blessed.' At that time, an entire group will be fed from a single pomegranate and find shade under its peel. There will be abundance in the milk. One camel will satisfy a whole crowd, one cow will provide for an entire tribe, and one sheep will provide enough milk for a whole branch of a tribe. While they live this way, Allah will send a fragrant wind that touches them under their arms, taking the souls of every believer and every Muslim. Only the worst people will remain, who will act openly with shamelessness, just like donkeys, and the terrors of Judgment Day will descend upon them." (reported by Muslim)
Muhammad (peace be upon him) also said:
"How glorious will be the time when Jesus lives among you; you will plant seeds in barren rock and they will grow. There will be no drought; vegetation will cover the land, and a man will be able to sit beside a lion without being harmed." (reported by Al-Dajjal)
Jesus will return, get married, have children, and live among us for 40 years. After he passes away, Judgment Day will arrive.
Conclusion
Allah, glory be to Him, says:
"They say, 'The Merciful has taken a child!'"—
You are truly saying something appalling!
The heavens would almost burst, the Earth would split open, and the mountains would crumble
because of what they attribute to the Merciful.
It is unthinkable that the Merciful has a child—
everyone, both in the heavens and on Earth, will seek refuge in the Merciful like slaves!" Mary, 88-93.
Allah, glory be to Him, says:
"Allah has not taken a son, and there is no other god with Him! Otherwise, every god would do as it pleased with what it created, and they would overcome one another. — Praised be Allah, who is far above what they claim!" Al-Mu’minun, 91.
There are actually more similarities than differences between Muslims and Christians. According to Islamic law, we have specific rules for the "People of the Book," who are similar to us except for a few minor differences in core dogma. Let's conclude with these words:
"Say: 'O People of the Book, come together to a word that is equitable between us and you: that we worship none but Allah and that we ascribe no partners to Him, and that we do not take one another as lords instead of Allah.' But if they turn away, say: 'Witness that we are Muslims!'" Ali-Imran, 64
