Signs... a final farewell... in Spirituality ·
Nicole Allen75 said:It’s been almost three years since my mom passed away.
It was... heavy. Tragic. A total shock. Toward the end, she was in constant pain, just wasting away day after day right before my eyes.
Then, the night after she died, I had this dream. But calling it a "dream" feels wrong—it wasn't just some sleep-induced hallucination. It felt different. Too real. Way too vivid. She was back in her prime, healthy and vibrant. I could actually feel her hugging me, saying goodbye. I felt her warm, solid hands holding me tight while I just broke down. We were both crying, letting go of each other. The grief was overwhelming, honestly. I knew deep down she had to go, but that feeling? That physical sensation of being held, of her grip, those tears... it was more real than anything else. Don't try telling me it was just my subconscious playing tricks, or some trick my grieving mind cooked up to cope. No. That was her saying goodbye. And honestly? It was the only thing that gave me enough strength to finally start keeping my head above water.

Exactly. I don't think this happened just to mess with me. My experience, just like yours, gave us the strength to keep going... to fight. It wasn't just "in my head." It was them—my dad, your mom—coming back to say goodbye and show us they're okay. Any doctor can try to give me some scientific explanation, but when you actually feel it, you know. You just know.

😁The Memplex of alien abductions.

Man, I've met so many people who claim they were "abducted by aliens." And honestly, my biggest disappointment was realizing they were all actually just "abducted" while they were asleep... 😢 😁.

Personally, I'm only sorry—purely in a technical sense, obviously—that absolutely no probes ended up in anyone's backside. 🙂

because I, much like Prot (K-PAX), am fully convinced that any person can find their own way to healing. If someone's entire writing style is just "my dad did this," "my dad did that," "I haven't forgiven my father"... well, clearly there's an issue there. So fine, let them go through the healing process on their own.
what kind of authority is standing there, so certain of their own sanity, that they feel allowed—aside from the moderators, of course—to declare the thread starter mentally ill?

Just wondering, you know? By the way, everyone is considered sick until proven otherwise!
sobriety. is looking at your own situation,

What you're missing is 'reality.' Looking at your own situation realistically. I guess that's not always a given when you're dealing with human testimony.
(both while awake and in dreams, witnesses describe the same state of dreaming, a detachment from everyday reality, memory loss, and hypnosis acting as a method for recalling shifts in perspective)

And honestly, whatever source you’re trying to pull from isn't even relevant to what we're talking about here. So go ahead, cite it... even if you do, it doesn't change the point I'm making one bit.
what am I supposed to do with my own experiences other than just respect them? leave them be, exactly as they are.

Are you seriously still wondering why I call you such a hopeless romantic?
don't believe in anything, but have faith—that's me, I believe I'll make it, and because of that, I believe the author will succeed too, and Pashko Pata'q and you and everyone else can preserve their own little worlds; being aggressive won't help, those chosen or imposed-upon worlds. the spirit doesn't bypass anyone. nobody.

Wait, you actually think being assertive is the same thing as being aggressive?
so, it's a bit "off" regarding PDF spirituality. not to get too carried away and say it's "off" in relation to the spirit itself.

Watch it, once you start going down that "off" path... seriously, do you even realize how far off you already are? Acting like there's no such thing as being "off" when it comes to spirituality... man, you're such a pure, elitist snob.
taboo reality is defined, quarantined, handled with surgical gloves,

You're still doing these mental gymnastics... reducing all thought down to just two camps. You've got the philosophical side (dealing with the immeasurable) and the scientific side (dealing with the measurable). Both are absolutely necessary, but you elitists act all shocked and offended whenever someone mentions that the world isn't just black or white, or light versus dark. You just swing wildly from one extreme to the other.
where is the realization of one's own power in all this?

The whole topic is derailed now; instead of talking spirituality, we've basically walked straight through the doors of a psych ward.

You really need to sort out your psychological baggage before you try to go toe-to-toe with spirituality. Can you do both at once? Well, the answer isn't a simple 'yes' or 'no,' because emotions play a massive role in how everything resonates.

Did I even ask for your opinion or for you to analyze whether I'm crazy or emotionally messed up?

No, I didn't. I had this amazing experience that gave me the strength to move on, and I didn't title this post "please diagnose me," I was just interested in hearing about similar experiences from other people...

Look, you have your opinion and I'm not analyzing it or trying to fight it. I know my own experience and my own mind, and I'm good with that. I don't need "self-healing" or any kind of treatment because what I went through helped me get my head straight. Thank God and my dad, too, for having the strength to show me those signs and give me the will to live and bring back my faith in God... because I was slowly losing it...

So like, I'll say it again, I don't need you analyzing my brain or my mental state. That's what professionals are for, and based on your posts, you definitely aren't one... no offense.

Linda Walker37@: I totally get what you're saying. You can't really explain it to someone who hasn't felt it—that feeling that actually gives you the strength to keep going, like proof we aren't just a bunch of meat... and I know exactly what I felt. It was my dad... I don't care if some expert tries to tell me it's just my brain doing things, I know what I felt and how I feel now.

The thing is, we struggle to spot those signs because life moves way too fast, you know? We're always rushing, stressed out, never just *being*... it makes it impossible. But when something like this hits you, you realize nothing else matters except you and your family. Work, money, whatever—it's all noise. You gotta live for the moment. I guess I realized that too late, and there's so much I could've done differently... so many missed chances. But hey, at least I have the memories and the knowledge that he's still there watching over me. I felt him reach out, and honestly? No scientist or shrink in the US is gonna talk me out of it.

So, I've got this situation and felt like I had to share it here... wondering if any of you guys have dealt with stuff like this. Basically, my dad passed away about two months ago. We were close, but we didn't get to say a proper goodbye because everything just went south so fast... but I really think he came back to visit me. I mean, I don't just *think* it, I actually felt him.
I’m not usually the type to imagine things or be some religious fanatic—he wasn't either—but what happened to me honestly brought back my faith in God, or maybe something even bigger than that...
Anyway, here goes...
Ever since I was a kid, I've been terrified of wasps. On the actual day of the funeral, a wasp ended up inside my pants and stung my knee, which is crazy because I haven't been stung in years. I didn't take it as a sign right then, though. But three days after the funeral, I was getting ready for another service, and while I was lying down waiting to head out, I had this dream about two hornets attacking my whole family. I totally panicked, and in that moment, it hit me that my dad wasn't there to protect me anymore. Right then, I jolted awake because it felt like someone was lying on top of me, like they were hugging me and keeping me safe. I heard my mother's voice whispering my name in my ear, but at the same time, I could hear her in the background talking to the neighbor. Once I realized it wasn't my mom hugging me, I jerked away, and suddenly this voice started speaking in this weird language, and I felt this sensation like something was pulling me out of my body. It was an indescribable feeling. I felt, like, for sure, that we aren't just physical bodies—we have something else, a soul, or energy, I don't even know... It wasn't scary, though. I just knew it was Dad coming to tell me everything was fine and that he's still with me.🙂

I got out of bed and just started crying, but not because I was sad—more like I was happy because I actually felt it. My mom told me it was all just in my head, but I'm certain it wasn't...
The next evening, I went by the gravesite, and a hornet flew out from one of the wreaths, circled my head, and just left. I wasn't even scared. I took that as another sign too...

A month later, there was a memorial service for him. The night before, I'd messed up pretty bad and was basically in a trance, just obsessing over what he would say to me. In that half-asleep state, I heard this buzzing in my ears, but like, on a totally different frequency. Then I felt that energy being pulled out of my body again, and it felt like someone laid me in their lap and started stroking my hair. I open my eyes and see myself lying there, but at the exact same time, I feel like I'm being cradled and comforted. It was him. I figured he came to comfort me and let me know he isn't mad about the stupid mistakes I made. There were other signs too, but these were the ones that proved to me there's more to life than just this...
Anyone else ever deal with anything like this?
