Signs... a final farewell...

It’s been almost three years since my mom passed away.
It was... heavy. Tragic. A total shock. Toward the end, she was in constant pain, just wasting away day after day right before my eyes.
Then, the night after she died, I had this dream. But calling it a "dream" feels wrong—it wasn't just some sleep-induced hallucination. It felt different. Too real. Way too vivid. She was back in her prime, healthy and vibrant. I could actually feel her hugging me, saying goodbye. I felt her warm, solid hands holding me tight while I just broke down. We were both crying, letting go of each other. The grief was overwhelming, honestly. I knew deep down she had to go, but that feeling? That physical sensation of being held, of her grip, those tears... it was more real than anything else. Don't try telling me it was just my subconscious playing tricks, or some trick my grieving mind cooked up to cope. No. That was her saying goodbye. And honestly? It was the only thing that gave me enough strength to finally start keeping my head above water.
