We’re all just hyper-intelligent beings here, aren't we? Spending way too much energy trying to decode the "meaning of life" because we can't stomach some fairy tale or mindless myth. Instead, we overanalyze everything. We dissect every single interaction, second-guessing every word said to us... that's just how we're wired. And because of that, we're more sensitive, more empathetic. We go looking for purpose in other people, because at least for me—there’s zero point to my life if it’s just me alone. Just working, eating, sleeping, working, repeat.
Looking back with a bit of empathy, I remember when emotions actually hit hard. Laughter used to be real, deep, from the gut. Crying was even heavier; I could break down just thinking about certain things. But now? Nothing. The tears won't come. Any laughter is just a mask to fit in. Even sadness doesn't feel like sadness anymore... just total emotional numbness.
...and the kicker is, we're never going to find that "purpose" anyway. It isn't there.
