Wage garnishments and collections
in Law ·
Hey there.
I recently found myself forced to hand over a blank promissory note to someone to handle the collection process.
The problem is, absolutely nothing is being collected because apparently, there's a massive line of people ahead of me in the payment queue.
If I just sit around waiting for my turn, I might as well prepare for a century of waiting.
Is there any kind of workaround—say, using that same note as leverage to go after someone's property or assets directly?
The note is for $3333, which—for context—is a significant amount of money to me.
Thanks.
