And honestly, why didn't you work out a repayment plan with the IRS last year to reschedule the debt?

It wasn't a property levy; they just seized my income. Recently, I was called in for some kind of "consultation" where the folks at the IRS were trying to convince me I had to settle the entire debt within eight days—even though they'd already garnished my paycheck and I’d actually started paying it off. They threatened that if I didn't, they'd move to seize assets, requiring me to provide an itemized list of everything I own (or something like that). I told them that was impossible because I was only working part-time back then and simply didn't have the cash, to which she basically replied that she didn't care and suggested I just take out a loan to cover it.

As for restructuring the debt... that's a whole different story. It's complicated when you have an accountant who knows the ropes, and their advice to everyone is pretty much: don't skimp on the professionals.😉

Hi,

Just one question here.
Is it actually possible for a debt of about 20 $0.00 in business taxes to result in a seizure of something owned by my parents, like their house or just stuff from the home? I don't have anything in my own name, though I am properly registered with them. Basically, I don't own a single thing, and I’m not even an owner of anything in that house. My wages are already being hit by an enforcement office order, and I'm losing $333 every month.

Thanks,
