IRS and Tax Filing Issues in Business, Accounting & Taxes ·
I’m running into a bit of a headache while trying to get registered. I went ahead and installed the certificate, but every time I hit that "register" button, it asks me for a PIN. I’ve been plugging in the initial PIN they sent over in my email (even though I also got this other encrypted PIN in a separate message), but it just keeps throwing an error at me saying: "Registration failed with the selected certificate." Does anyone have any ideas? Help me out here! 🙂

Check if this helps you out (the American version)

@ Gill01
"Thus the WEI does not measure performance of a system, but merely the relative hardware capabilities when running Windows 7."
You can read the whole article (written by the guy who actually heads up the Windows division at Microsoft) here.

I gave it a shot, but nothing happened—plus, the settings were already locked to American. I’m planning to drop my laptop off this afternoon at a local computer repair shop to see what they think. Either way, thanks so much for all the help!!🙂

Noah Sanchez39 said:I’m guessing you’ve got Windows 7 Ultimate installed with an American English Language pack.

If you head over to the Control Panel, then go to System & Security and check out System, you can verify your OS version there.
From there, jump back to the Control Panel, hit Programs, then Uninstall, and click on View Installed Updates. Look for the Language pack there and wipe it out—assuming, of course, that you actually want to change the user interface itself.

Every time I pull up View Installed Updates, I don't see anything labeled as a language pack; all I see are the Security update for Microsoft Windows and the general update for Microsoft Windows.😕

I’m running into a bit of a headache here and could really use some help. I recently picked up a laptop that came running Linux, but since I’m not exactly tech-savvy when it comes to that operating system, I had a guy set up Windows 7 for me instead. Now I've hit a snag: everything in my applications is in English, but the actual system settings are stuck in American, and I can't figure out how to get them back in sync. Any idea what's going on? Help!!!!!!!!
