I am also running into this "component loading" error. It appears as though Java simply cannot launch the application.
I am seeing the exact same issue on two different machines (Windows 7 and Windows XP). Everything was functioning perfectly until today. It seems to be an error on their end; it looks like while they were busy patching the app for Chrome, they inadvertently broke it for Internet Explorer.
