The real kicker is that their website explicitly stated this support for XP was just a temporary fix, so we haven't solved anything—we’ve just kicked the can down the road.
Regardless, I find it completely absurd that I should have to drop $2,000— $1000 (that's for a whole new rig plus a Windows 7/8.1/10 license)—just because I can't upload a single tax filing file, even though everything else on the machine works perfectly fine.
