How do you say "to bring something to light"?

So, I'm in 7th grade—and honestly, I’m a pretty good kid and a solid student... But—whenever it comes down to telling my parents the truth, whether it's about a grade or just something else—I just freeze up. I can't bring myself to say it. I don't know why, but I get this massive fear that they'll be furious or even kick me out of the house—even though I know deep down they wouldn't actually do that. Does anyone have any advice on how to find some courage so I can finally start being honest without panicking?
