Car Insurance: What are your experiences?

- I'm having some trouble with my insurance claim and wanted to get your take on this.
- My father was driving my car when a deer jumped out from the right side and he hit it. There isn't even a "Deer Crossing" sign on that stretch of road. The police came out and did a full investigation, so I filed the claim and waited for the estimate. But after more than a month, the insurance company notified me they won't pay out because the local hunting club hasn't sent them a statement confirming whether anyone ever requested a warning sign for that area. I replied to that letter stating that's completely irrelevant to my claim and demanded they at least pay the undisputed portion. A few days later, an Agreement arrived regarding $1600. The headlight (xenon) is damaged, and there isn't a single replacement or used one available anywhere; a brand-new one costs $3133, which is the estimate I submitted to them. They also assessed the hood, fender, and part of the grille for repair and painting, but they aren't even offering half of what the actual repairs will cost,
