That’s the right way to look at it. You just need to remember which carrier held your 50% discount last, and then try to get your vehicle registration sorted out as soon as you can possible...

And if this isn't the child's very first insurance policy, they can actually secure that same 50% rate through GEICO, regardless of where the parents' policy is held. Plus, the original bonus remains intact for the parents, so everyone wins

With General Electric, there aren't any specific restrictions on when you can activate your bonus; the main thing is simply ensuring your policy hasn't had any claims filed against it...
