Car Insurance: What are your experiences?

Along with my car insurance, I got this extra policy that covers things like hail, floods, fire, and stuff like that.
It only kicks in when the car is parked, though. It’s through Geico, if that matters.
What does that actually mean in practice? Like, if I'm sitting at a red light and a hailstorm starts hitting, am I covered because I'm technically stopped, even if I have a green light coming up next? Or am I only protected if I'm fully parked?😁
