What are your thoughts on Detroit Pistons under 93.5? Looking at the numbers, Detroit is one of the worst teams this season. They’ve dropped three straight, and they only cracked the 93-point mark once in that stretch. Meanwhile, Denver has a heavy-hitting roster and an elite defender like Andre Iguodala holding things down!
I also think Chicago Bulls vs Orlando Magic should stay under 188 total points! Even without Derrick Rose, the Bulls are solid defensively and don't give up many buckets. Nobody has even put up more than 90 against them this season, even though Orlando regularly clears 100. These two usually play tight games, so I'm leaning under!
Detroit isn't anything special, but I wouldn't call them one of the worst out there. They might struggle on the road, but they looked decent at home during preseason, beating both Orlando and Atlanta while scoring over 100 twice. On the road, they tend to lose and struggle to score. That 93.5 line is probably low because Denver tends to play high-scoring games. I'll probably pass on this one, but calling Detroit one of the worst teams feels a bit much since the season just kicked off😉
Toronto could go over, maybe Orlando too. That 88.5 margin looks a little suspicious, though I'm honestly on the fence about taking that over...
Minnesota without Kevin Love and Rubio is a mess. They can't even remember their last win in Canada, and now they've got the Toronto Raptors waiting like a loaded gun. Where are all those NBA experts talking about this duo? 🙂
but.. I don't trust Toronto either. Honestly, I don't think that squad has any real ceiling. Reputation-wise, they aren't going much further than a team like the Milwaukee Bucks, regardless of having Brooklyn guys, Kyle Lowry, and the rest...

Finished high school, but I never really clicked with that crowd... especially when it came to the girls, man... why am I even thinking about them now? 🙄
High school is just full of weirdos. I always found better people at other schools—people who actually felt more natural and down-to-earth

but that’s a whole different conversation
if you need the medication, then you need it.
People here aren't really looking to hear that kind of thing, so I don't think it's even worth arguing about... plus, imagine ending up in a psych ward and trying to tell them you don't need medication. Just look at how Jack ends up in that classic movie One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest on ABC... he was a rebel against the whole system, insisting he was perfectly fine, and well, we all know how that turned out

These aren't exactly candy when you're just craving a little sugar.
We have people here dealing with serious disorders and clinical diagnoses... individuals who rely on their prescribed medication just to stabilize their lives enough to function, and more often than not, just to survive at all.
If you don't grasp the gravity of this, you really shouldn't be trolling.
You don't truly understand something until you've experienced it firsthand—what these types of drugs are designed to do and why anyone would ever need to take them.
most mental illnesses are incurable anyway, so plenty of people stay sick whether they take the pills or not. a lot of folks say they only feel remotely normal when they're off all medication
Kenneth Scott41 said:Still, I suppose some people just want to keep taking certain medications for the rest of their lives. During a recent visit to my doctor, I remember seeing a man in his 60s who was absolutely livid because they had "just decided" to stop his Xanax. He kept insisting that he'd been taking it for twenty years and that the doctors were entirely to blame for him becoming dependent on it; he demanded they give him that exact Xanax because his body was specifically tuned to it. In the end, the doctor just gave in, realizing the old man was a deeply entrenched Xanax addict, and that was that.
It's a sad situation, really. But the man likely wasn't even aware that he had become a severe addict who actually needs a rehabilitation program; though at his age, I guess going through withdrawal is a daunting prospect... and there are so many people out there just like him.
Yeah, Xanax definitely causes dependency. But hey, what can you do for him? He should probably just be glad he could get his Xanax legally his whole life, instead of having to hit the streets looking for some sketchy weed to calm down like it's Xanax... I don't even know which emoji fits here.
reading some posts here and I honestly can't believe what people are saying 🙄 seriously though, has anyone ever considered that life might actually be possible without all those pills? once you start thinking a specific medication helped you, you just build this mental image that they're necessary... that's exactly what psychiatrists want, to get you to accept being "sick" and fall in love with your meds, while ignoring how much damage they're actually doing to your body
I have a buddy who works in pharma, and he gave me the real scoop on how the industry works. Honestly, psychiatrists couldn't care less if you actually get better or not. Their job is just to write the script because they're basically just agents for big pharma lobbyists...
quick question—what's the actual liability for a psychiatrist if they keep forcing certain drugs on a patient, causing real physical harm even after the patient tries explaining how bad it feels? what happens next? say the patient refuses the pills because they're genuinely endangering their health, but the doctor won't listen and threatens to call the cops to have them forcibly committed for "non-compliance"🙄🙄🙄
are psychiatrists protected by the law even if their "treatment" methods end up seriously damaging a patient's health or, in the worst case, causing death? looking for an expert answer here, because it feels like they won't be happy until they've killed the patient🙄🙄🙄
how low did we sink as a society, letting a literal cult be recognized as doctors for mental illness? if they were real doctors, they could prove everything empirically like everyone else, but they never will. any diagnosis a psychiatrist makes could be challenged if there were different standards in society. like, why aren't hagiotherapists more respected than psychiatrists? would love a real, complete answer to that one, since it ties into so many different interests and things
