Maybe the truth is somewhere in the middle 🤷

And just so you know, the US GDP took a hit last quarter too. Man, I wish the Olympics lasted all year long!

Goldman just flipped their script on gold for 2013!😂

_Honestly, I’ve totally lost track of which moving averages to watch—is it the 10, 20, 50, 100, 150, or even the 200 or 500? 😕

My first entries are always small amounts. A follow-up buy might be a bit larger, but once I see things really starting to "stretch," then I’ll go in heavy with a bigger position to smooth out my average entry price. Plus, whatever I make from those mid-run additions just gives me more breathing room... more tolerance for the swings.
I’m expecting to pull in

A move of about $15-$20 on gold
About $1 on silver

Basically... all positions are closed. Silver's at $30.88... gold's at $676.86

No more trades left for me. At the end of the day... account is up +23% over the last two months... playing silver and gold.

Hey everyone. Getting the home trading office ready now...

You're leaving us at the mercy of all the gold bugs in here 🙂 That's not fair! 🙂

Regarding that Federal Reserve balance sheet

@forum... look, the value is totally preserved. For the exact same amount of silver I've got, I can grab just as much—if not more—of Ingram Micro stock! 😂

People have been attacking me and throwing insults over my trades, but meanwhile, I’m quietly building a fortress for the bulls.☕
We’ll just have to see if this actually pays off for me in the end...
I haven't dumped a massive chunk of my portfolio in yet, but I still have some breathing room until I hit that $530 mark.
The plan is to put about 20% of the account on the side for the bulls. In the meantime, I'll try to squeeze out some profit from daily swings... if I can get lucky.😉

Do you think it could hit $1530? People here might treat that like sacrilege😁. That would mean the silver I bought two years ago would be trading below my entry price🙂

Actually, I'm changing my call. This keeps going until Three Kings Day. 🤣

Like what? Rich people just stash cash under their mattresses!? That capital is always being invested somewhere, and society always gets a slice of the action... They spend it on dinner, and suddenly restaurants and their suppliers get a boost, and that cash flows right back into the economy... They put it in funds, those funds invest it... they park it in a bank, and the bank lends it out through loans!
The people running today's welfare states really think they can manage money better than the people who actually earned it... Given the current deficit levels, anyone can see how they're handling things.

By hiking taxes even more, money velocity is just going to tank (M2 is at an all-time low, M1 is looking like it's stuck in the late 70s or mid-90s)... There'll be less liquid cash available, and the people who do have it will just keep lending it to the government... We're looking at another deflationary year... and regardless of the fiscal cliff situation, the world is heading for another recession. Whether basic prices spike in that scenario depends entirely on oil, taxes, and the dollar!
The Federal Reserve printing presses slowed down a bit after four weeks of work, and the Fed decided to shed some assets... All in all, despite all the hype about Quantitative Easing's impact, the balance sheet is still lower than it was in February...

In 2013, the S&P 500 won't see any massive rallies unless there's a tectonic shift in Federal Reserve policy (and considering Ben's term is winding down, I'm not holding my breath)... I don't see a major crash happening either, because there just isn't much reason for one... Most likely, everything stays within the 2012 ranges, maybe +/- 10%... Not bad, considering the uncertainty...

Spot on. You aren't screwing over the rich. And who's actually doing the screwing? Corrupt, incompetent, and dishonest politicians. Take real estate, for example. How many people in the US actually know about 1031 exchanges?
As for the Fed's balance sheet, I'm staying out of that one. 🙂
Honestly, I also think gold has already left the atmosphere past $2000. Silver is going to go even higher.
What I really don't get, though, since both of them are essentially money... 😂

Maybe I'll add a bit more on the first or second buy, but once I actually see some upward momentum—real movement—then I'll swing in with a heavier position to fix my average. Any profit I grab while scaling in just gives me more breathing room... more wiggle room to stay in the game.
I'm just looking to make money, plain and simple.😁

Gold should move up about $15-$20
Silver maybe another buck

You're the only one I actually trust. Everyone else is just playing amateur hour, honestly—just like me! 😂

Why even sweat a little correction or "market manipulation"? Honestly, the world's ending the day after tomorrow anyway, so you might as well sell off all your metals and dump every cent into one epic, legendary blowout!🙂

Anthony Evans78 said:So now we're just guessing at inflation rates? Like you're haggling at a flea market... "Oh, let's call it 20%... actually, make it 30%!" Where? Here? In the European Union? In the USA?
You look foolish because you don't understand compound interest, and then you look even worse in the next post by refusing to even try learning it. Sometimes it's better to just stay quiet so you don't broadcast how little you know.

shadow inflation
What kind of language is that?

Look, I’ve already said it: calling people idiots or morons isn't okay on this forum. I'm pretty sure there are even rules against it. Since nobody is doing anything about it, I'm ending this discussion right here with you.
If you don't trust dollars, euros, any currency, stocks, bonds, or savings... if you won't touch oil or grain because you think they're being manipulated too... then hey, go ahead and just stack up your gold and silver and keep spamming those same old copy-paste posts right here. 👋

Anthony Evans78 said:Maybe brush up on some basic math, specifically compound interest.
Try Googling "compound interest." You're really starting to show how little you actually get this. 🙂
I stick to silver because it's more affordable and I can pick up a few ounces whenever I want. I have no intention of swapping at 1:20; maybe I'll do it at 1:1, or maybe not at all. I might just use the silver to buy something productive.
You clearly don't have a clue. You don't understand inflation, you can't calculate interest, and frankly, you haven't contributed anything useful to this thread.

Fine, let's say inflation is 20% a year. That’s a safe bet if we're going by your logic (shadow inflation, right?). And what am I supposed to contribute when reading your posts? There's nothing to say. It's always the same stuff. Gold and silver have been money since the ancient Greeks.

You don't need silver to buy something productive. You can do that with paper money like US Dollars. 😍 If you ask me, I’d suggest buying a shovel and a rake instead.

Let him go, quiettrucker12! It turns out inflation has been sitting at a massive 30-40% annually since 2000 🤣
Plus, he was already talking about swapping his Silverstein for gold months ago if the ratio hits 1:20, so he’s clearly just speculating and praying silver moons so he can make that trade. He isn't actually saving anything! But hey, what do I know? 😂
