I'm terrified of failing my pets and plants!

It’s specific. I worry that because animals and plants are such vulnerable, helpless creatures, I might somehow misread their needs. What if I fail them? The thought of them dying or suffering right in front of me because I didn't realize what they needed... that's my worst nightmare.😢
So, what am I actually dealing with here? How can I move past this anxiety?
It comes down to low self-esteem. Taking care of plants and pets isn't some Herculean feat; it's a basic responsibility that people all over the country handle without breaking a sweat. If I feel like this is somehow beyond me, it just means I have an incredibly low opinion of my own competence. It's a lack of confidence, plain and simple.
