Sean Reyes said:Just ignore the troll; he's already been sanctioned multiple times by the Moderator. He isn't actually here for this discussion; he’s just targeting me because I had the nerve to tell him the truth to his face on another thread—that he writes nonsense and acts like a troll who blames everyone else for his own failures. Now he follows me to every single topic, scouring my posts just to fuel his petty grievances. Nothing more.

You are the only actual troll here. Beyond that, you're just a whiner reporting my posts after the moderators have already dealt with them (and you were the one who started the trolling in the first place).

It is quite ironic that you label me as a failure while you attempt to educate yourself on women via some cheap tabloid site. Furthermore, your inferiority complex regarding your lack of a college degree is evident; you try to compensate for it with a superficial understanding of HVAC systems, attacking a man simply for stating that any brand of AC can cool 16 m2.

When will this nonsense finally end?

Daikin does NOT slap their stickers on air conditioners manufactured by other companies.
Get that through your head once and for all.

Absolutely everything integrated into a Daikin unit is produced within their own factories.

NEC handles the electronics.

On-topic: I believe the moderator overreacted by locking this thread.
There were no insults used here. It was merely a heated debate.

I never even claimed that Daikin applies labels.

If you had actually bothered to open the link I provided:

https://www.daikin.com/press/2008/080331/index.html

You would see that Gree manufactures units for Daikin. Gree, which produces Gree air conditioners, also produces Daikin units.

Therefore, both Gree and Daikin are made in the same factory using the same components, yet the Gree unit is inferior.

The thread starter complains about everything under the sun, which makes his opening statement fundamentally incorrect.

Dennis Morris92 said:The purpose of this forum is to facilitate discussion on specific topics. Recently, there was indeed a need to penalize trolls who insistently tried to equate Vivax with top-tier brands, but that isn't a reason to lock a thread; it is a reason to sanction the trolls.

The thread starter attacked someone who simply stated that any air conditioner can cool a 16 m2 room. What was he supposed to say instead—that it couldn't? That the person is obligated to purchase a premium brand unit? What would you say to someone commuting 3.1 miles to work? Should they be forced to buy a Mercedes-Benz, an Audi, or a Volkswagen because a Dacia can't handle such long distances?

I will take this even further and suggest he doesn't need an air conditioner at all, as a pedestal fan costing $50 would suffice.

And regarding Vivax, they don't actually manufacture their own units. Just as companies like Gorenje, Koncar, or Electrolux don't.
The real question is whether household units carrying a Daikin label are actually manufactured by Daikin or if they are just Gree units.

So basically, we're looking at a world where names like Ivan Aralica, Miljenko Jergović, or Ante Tomić—people who actually meant something to us—just don't exist anymore. Gone are the classics like Smogovac, Harry Potter, or those Agatha Christie detective novels everyone grew up on. Even the heavy hitters of modern global lit, like Alice Munro, J. M. Coetzee, Imre Kertész, Hanif Kureishi, or Orhan Pamuk, are totally wiped out. Looking back at the reading lists from the early '90s, they even tossed out Milan Kundera, J. D. Salinger and his 'The Catcher in the Rye', Ivan Goran Kovačić, and a whole bunch of others. Kundera and Salinger? Dead and gone. There's zero room left for someone like Goran Tribuson and his 'History of Pornography', let alone Olja Savičević Ivančević with her 'Radio Cowboy' or Ivan Simić Bodrožić and 'Hotel Zagorje'. To make matters worse, there’s barely any space for women at all; if high schoolers are going to encounter any female authors, it'll only be through the likes of Vesna Parun, Sylvia Plath, and Virginia Woolf, according to some obituary in the New York Times.

They have failed the children. ☕

Thanks.

Charles Fox10 said:Regarding the ban you complained about on Reddit, those reasons were already explained to you by my colleague. I have nothing further to add, and the decision will not be reversed.

By the way, there is absolutely no need for any colleague to play the musketeer and attempt to defend her; she is more than capable of holding her own whenever the situation demands it.

I see no reason to waste my breath commenting on this colleague anymore. One only needs to glance at the sheer volume of threads on Reddit or the news outlets that feature his name in the headlines to understand the situation.

Then you clearly lack a fundamental understanding of our current cultural and civilizational landscape.
