Is it actually possible to accept different viewpoints?

But what happens when that autonomy clashes with state sovereignty?
I don't find anything wrong with that in a general sense either; I'm just using the term "ideology" here pejoratively, referring to a widespread and uncritically accepted dominant paradigm...
Yeah, consensus as an epistemological trend and the kind of relativism that shapes public opinion by claiming objectivity doesn't exist—it’s most obvious when you see someone leaving comments under an article in The New York Times.
But what's even more interesting is the phenomenon of denying the value of specific actions, events, or opinions. It's just this constant "everything is equally valid" mindset.
Real value? It’s an inside job. People think they can judge it from the outside just by looking at the surface, but that’s total nonsense. When something truly explodes—I mean way, way beyond the status quo—it sets a whole new gold standard. Sure, people might be too slow to catch on, and it might take ten, twenty, even thirty years for the world to actually wrap its head around it, but the value was always there. What you're talking about here is just people trying to force their own arbitrary ideas of "value" onto a group where everyone is basically hovering around the same mediocre baseline. It's all just noise—people bickering in their little bubbles, trying to prove who's a bit sharper or a bit more important than the next guy, when in reality, they’re all essentially the same. It's just a bunch of folks fighting for scraps in a tiny pond. Look, you can have all the god-given talent in the world and work yourself into the ground, but reaching a state of true, fundamental transformation is incredibly hard. Like, ridiculously hard. And until that massive, core shift actually happens—that internal metamorphosis—you aren't getting any real, substantial recognition. Real value only starts being measured once the transformation is complete from the inside out.
