The takeaway remains exactly what I stated originally. Regarding that quote from the opening post, my take is that it represents nothing more than the hollow ideology of the Meta generation; the quote itself is merely one symptom of that widespread lunacy.
Why even keep people like that on your friends list? If you absolutely have to stay connected—whether for work or family ties—why not just hide them from your feed? It’s inevitable that you’ll feel agitated when you're constantly exposed to such stupidity.
Unless, of course, you actually find enjoyment in the chaos? But let's be realistic: your tolerance for nonsense isn't an infinite resource. Even if you keep updating your filters, they can only hold so much before they overflow. Personally, I would have purged those contacts long ago, or at least muted them. Alternatively, if you have nothing better to do, you could call out their idiocy, but that's just a massive drain on your energy...
