If you actually got off your butt and tried to build something meaningful with your life, things would probably start looking up. But when you spend all your time cooped up at home, just sitting around and snacking, you can’t really act surprised when nothing changes.

Why does everyone treat high schoolers differently?

From my own experience back in general high school, I noticed that prep schools don't necessarily attract the brightest minds—they mostly attract the "grinds." For instance, about half of my classmates could pull an A in history, yet they couldn't tell you the significance of Desert Storm or even basic facts regarding WW2.
It’s actually pretty fascinating to me... I know plenty of people from vocational business schools who possess more practical knowledge than my entire high school class combined.
