And it’s entirely possible. They say a thousand-mile journey begins with a single step, and I couldn't agree more. Great achievements aren't sudden lightning strikes; they are simply the accumulation of countless tiny, seemingly insignificant actions. You have to show up and do *something* every single day—otherwise, you're just spinning your wheels. As the saying goes, *nulla dies sine linea*. Of course, there is also the wisdom of knowing when to pace yourself; much like the old adage suggests, frantic, Herculean efforts applied at the wrong moment are far less effective than steady, measured progress applied at the right time.

Ultimately, having someone in your corner makes all the difference. I believe in you, and I know you'll get there. (Anthony Hayes2)

Cheers!!!🙂

Exactly—though people (myself included, obviously) constantly forget that initial step and focus solely on how far the goal is. But look—every beginning is like that; there is no such thing as "instant flight."

Settling old scores. Doing what I should have done back then.
Even now, I can't manage everything.
No, I am not lazy.
Just need some peace. My own rhythm.
My roommate asked how I do my laundry. Apparently, watching me fold clothes is too slow for them. Typical.

Depressives tend to move at a crawl. They still get things done, though. Like that old fable about the tortoise and the hare.

Whatever. I'll handle it my way.
Let them sugarcoat it. Let them spin their own lies. They can go compete in the Olympics for speed-folding laundry for all I care.
I do things my way.
That's all there is to it, my dear friends.
Willpower and self-acceptance. That’s really all there is to it.
Comparing oneself to others. A futile exercise.
Enough.
Knowing where to draw the line is everything. Knowing what I can handle and what I simply cannot.
I'm still not quite sure about that.
I try. But when others speak their minds or make demands, I just fall silent. I fade away. As if I don't exist. As if I don't matter.
In the end... I suppose. It’s better this way. NO.
I slipped up. I forgot to consider what I actually want and what I’m capable of.
I want to get stronger.

It can be done. A thousand-mile journey starts with a single step. Great things are just a collection of small ones. If you do something every day, the results will eventually show up. Sometimes you have to pause, though. There’s an old proverb that says frantic efforts at the wrong time are less useful than small efforts made at the right time.

It matters that someone believes in you. I believe you'll make it.

Identical issues to the quoted post. It’s good to read such productive thoughts... though people absolutely cannot afford to forget these principles because, yes, fighting yourself, building strength, and realizing we aren't insignificant (which isn't easy, but necessary) is the most vital thing in my book...

I suppose I could also say—unfortuantely—that life just drifts right past me, completely unattached... In my case, it’s simpler: fear of failure, plain and simple. But that becomes a disaster when you pair it with my level of ambition and this desperate drive to succeed—it's probably that "curse" where you actually love what you study or do, so everything matters too much. Lately, the anxiety and depression have been hitting again; it gets so bleak that I often feel like jumping off a subway train mid-route just to break down and cry right there. But I don't—not really. And I refuse to let anyone know when I'm struggling (pure spite, I guess), so you end up fighting yourself alone, battling this learned helplessness... It’s reached a point where things feel so desperate that I'm just frantically grabbing at straws, trying to "catch" a life that I feel is slowly slipping toward where I actually want it to be. I suppose that's what happens when people hit rock bottom... Still, I won't give up. Most of the time, anyway.
