How to stay spiritually strong? in Spirituality ·

To repeat myself: true spirituality comes from within—your own morals, your instincts, your common sense.

Religion is just dead letters on a page. Nothing more.

Want an example? Take the Ten Commandments. Tell me, do you actually need to memorize every single one, or does your own conscience tell you the exact same thing without even knowing they exist?

Seriously. I think it's coming from Mars!🙂
What religion offers is just dead letters on a page and nothing more.

Let's start by defining religion. Latin *re-ligare*, to reconnect. It means restoring the broken connection between God and man.
The Bible definitely isn't just dead ink on paper.
Want an example? We have the Ten Commandments. Tell me, do you actually need to memorize every single one, or does your own sense of morality tell you the same thing without even knowing them?

So tell me then, where does your morality come from? How do you know what's right and what's wrong?
Don't bother answering, though. We're way off topic anyway.🙂

I get the vibe that you just can't stand Christianity—like, any time I mention it in a good light, it totally rubs you the wrong way.

Whatever the reason is, it really sucks that it's like that.

It feels like because I've taken a positive stance on Christianity, I've somehow become the black sheep of the spiritual crowd.
Suddenly I'm "less spiritual" or whatever.

Such a shame... I actually thought you were a cool guy.

Probably.
Living out a Christian faith isn't easy. It's much simpler to just dismiss it, mock it, or write it off as myth—then cherry-pick whatever parts of modern "spirituality" feel logical or convenient.
