I'll teach you how to pray! in Spirituality ·
Just so nobody loses their mind and tries to sue me later, I’ll just lay it all out for you myself 🙂
God forbid I actually find peace with myself before I figure out how to belong to you... when I said I turned selfish afterward, I didn't mean it on purpose. It was because once you realize how massive everything is, you start looking for alternatives—trying to see if there are other ways to pray—and that just ended up alienating me even more. I don't really practice any of this now, obviously. I just need to remember the struggle, you know? Because if I didn't push back against certain influences (you know the ones 🙂), they wouldn't even be there the next day! After that, I couldn't control it at all because I was too obsessed with finding the ultimate truth, and honestly, I'm still not sure 😉... but that's a whole different story. I'm not going to let you guys fall 🙂. Look, who cares about marriage? Let people get married. If you dedicate yourself, you'll get back double, a hundredfold...

Prayer goes something like this: "God, I hope You release me from this..." and then later: "I pray that I might meet him..." You hope for peace, fullness, joy, focus, love... then you just go silent, and this thought or desire hits you—something you want to say to Him in the stillness. He already knows us inside and out; what matters to Him is our devotion, or so it seems. You murmur a few lines, some prayers, letting them flow slowly like a tide so they sink into the subconscious (they say the subconscious is about eight times stronger than the conscious mind). And when you run out of wise words, when you can feel what you need to say, just shut up. Any word you say without truly understanding it—without reflecting on it first—will just pull you away from prayer. Then, everything goes quiet. It plays out in your heart, and you'll understand it all throughout the day (that wise consciousness where you observe yourself and others). Once you finish the prayer, exhaust yourself with it, and surrender to the silence, you enter a state of samadhi... God is that sense of fulfillment we feel, that joy and peace... We are His children. What would He be without us?

Where on earth did I get the idea to compare Jesus to the Buddha and equate their holiness? When I dive into the Oshu, there isn't a single sentence that leaves me confused. No matter what I read about the sacred, if I just sit with it, I grasp the spiritual essence immediately... but God doesn't need to lecture us, nor do saints have to say a word. It’s all about feeling it. That’s when the heart and spirit become one and the same... samadhi, that waking dream state. It became more vivid with every prayer, an experience I've lived myself... the witness consciousness. It's just another way to describe how to wake up, something I stumbled into without even trying—that internal gaze, looking within and through oneself, exactly as described. I wasn't hunting for this; as my prayers and hunger for depth intensified, the kundalini inside me just started rising. The energy expanded as my heart cleared and strengthened.... that's the deal, folks. Right now, I'm just resting in the fullness of the prayer I carry... All you really need to do is cool off toward this world and fire yourself up internally in every way possible... I actually have a Sutra for that which came to me through inspiration. Whoever can solve this riddle gets a bottle of high-end whiskey; whoever misses it, ends up in the psych ward 🙂

Lord, I am not worthy—just let me go crazy

It's actually that easy to find paradise within yourself. Just remember how you were as a kid—that was paradise. But what this is... this is a miracle of miracles

Someone told me this one
said they should sing it on Fridays too
Honestly, who cares about rock 'n roll?
I can play the fool once in a while
As long as there's music playing somewhere
that's enough to hit you right in the heart
Why should I care about pop stars or whatever else is trending?
I'm just gonna enjoy the ride and ignore all the noise

redmoose142 said:Michael Roberts9, I was wondering, based on your own experience in getting to know God, how have you perceived the relationship between your soul and the Creator? Or, more specifically, have you ever truly felt that sense of Oneness? I also wanted to ask; do you think it's actually worth praying for the world and all of humanity?

I’ve written about my journey to God plenty of times on different forums, always writing from memory or pure inspiration. I actually sent something similar to a spiritual friend recently. Enlightenment/awakening and nirvana aren't the same thing. Buddha described nirvana as requiring an "ultimate purity" that comes after we encounter that holiness. It’s a flash of selfhood—a totally new state of consciousness entering a holy heart. It’s blinding yet peaceful; there's a massive roar of sound but complete stillness, because you feel whole and witness something holy above you directly, like an angel, or God. I was in that state for three days, but by the first day, the temptation hit—that test of power Jesus described when the evil one attacked Him. I was too overwhelmed by what I was experiencing; it was ecstasy mixed with emptiness. If I had resisted the temptation, maybe angels would have served me or I would have entered nirvana. But let me tell you, my God is more powerful. When you offer Him sincere prayers and words—words He grants you if you actually listen and follow Him—they work miracles.

When I was young, I used to pray for humanity, just mentioning them alongside my loved ones. I grew up with that mindset; it was sincere, and that's exactly what pulled me into those heights. But after I fell, I became selfish and completely lost my way. I was just a kid back then, and honestly, I’m still a kid at heart, but now I’m a smart one (if you know what I mean) 🙂 and experienced. Back then, I was inexperienced and wide open. I knew God through strength in my heart.

And I fell according to prophecy. I described how to avoid this: if you fall, you'll run out of time for everything, and temptations will attack you constantly. You'll feel a desire in your heart saying, "Just try it, God won't be mad." And that's how you end up totally screwed. And the kicker? He isn't even mad! When He does get angry, your life and health will stumble, and you can be damn sure you brought that on yourself.

Exodus 3:14
"I AM WHO I AM," God said to Moses. Then He continued: "Tell the Israelites, 'I AM has sent me to you.'"
Deuteronomy 32:39
"See now that I, I am He, and there is no god besides Me. I strike and I heal; I wound and I heal (and no one can deliver out of My hand)."
Isaiah 43:13
From eternity—I am! And no one can deliver out of My hand; whatever I do, who can change it?
Isaiah 48:12
Listen to Me, Jacob, Israel, whom I have called: I am, I am the first, and I am the last.

We are God's life and His drama, and there's so little we can actually change globally since everything was written long ago. In the end, He promised we would all love and know each other in truth—if only everyone could just believe that right now.
Yoga Meditation in Spirituality ·
When I first stumbled into yoga and tried meditating in that state, man, that first time was everything. I felt something real 🙂 Every single time after that, I just felt lost, like I was chasing some pale imitation of the real thing. Look, yoga isn't my thing, but if people find their peace in it, who am I to judge? I’m telling the President 😁 that you can't just start mixing spirituality with the "progress" of civilization. Our obsession with overdevelopment has basically blinded us; we don't give a damn about the environment, and the wealth gap is getting ridiculous. It's like India is becoming the next Amazon—they're the only ones left trying to protect this collective consciousness before it all goes down the drain

Basically, my kid’s sweet little voice woke me up this morning and gave me the biggest reality check. That’s how you’re supposed to pray to God—you have to let yourself get completely soft. Only then does the mind finally shut up. Once that happens, you’ll be looking right at God... eventually, you won't even hear your own voice because you'll just be talking to yourself internally. And then? Everything becomes crystal clear.

It’s a losing battle trying to convince me since I’m totally lost here 😁 but honestly, if you haven't even cracked one of his books, you shouldn't be judging.

The guy is Bodhidharma—a lion, pure fire, that's just who he is. I've actually gone through two of his books, including tantra supreme understanding, which made perfect sense to me. I've got it as a PDF.

"A man wants to merge with a woman's essence (in my view). If he’s denied that, he starts looking for any way to inhabit some other body. He turns gay. If he can't find a woman, he'll settle for a man. (Is that too blunt? Some guys don't even find women attractive to begin with, right!?) If he can't find a man, he goes for animals. And if that becomes too hard to access, he moves on to rubber dolls—plastic women he can carry in a bag and just inflate whenever he needs a partner. When all options run out, the man just snaps. That suppressed sexual energy turns into rage, and eventually, it turns into a murderous impulse."

Sex is the source of life. That’s how God built existence. It should be respected and honored. Sex is sacred; it’s the most holy phenomenon in existence because it’s the foundation of everything. If life isn't sacred, then sex isn't sacred either. But politicians and priests have conspired against humanity. Politicians wanted soldiers. Priests wanted mindless slaves—obedient little drones. You destroy a person's dignity, and they easily become a submissive servant. (Truth.) And the best way to kill someone's dignity is to force them to fight themselves. They start feeling guilty because they can't win. How do you "win" against sex or food? If you fight your own sexuality, you split in two—you're basically choosing to enter the world of schizophrenics. You get sick. (Truth.) You can never win a fight against your own energy. Fighting your own energy is like trying to fight between your right and left hand (spirit vs. heart, in my opinion). Who wins there? Nobody. Your energy just leaks out and you end up weak. (Truth.) And there are bigger consequences: if you can't master your sex, you'll start feeling so guilty, so ugly, so condemned and worthless that you'll be willing to bow down to any idiot. Anyone who's a good actor, any hypocrite, will become your political leader or your local priest. All they need is hypocrisy; all they need is a facade to hide behind. Your politicians live double lives, and your priests do too—one life at the front door, another at the back. And that life at the back door? That’s their real life. Those smiles at the front door are fake; those innocent faces are just well-groomed. If you want to see a politician for who they really are, catch them at the back door. That’s where they are naked and raw, and that’s why they're priests. (?But that's what it says.) These two cunning types have mastered humanity. They figured out early on that if you want to rule people, you make them weak. Make them feel guilty. Make them feel unworthy. Strip away their dignity, take away their glory, and humiliate them. They found such subtle ways to humiliate people that it's hard to even notice. They let you humiliate and destroy yourself. They taught you a slow form of suicide.

Now, Osho and I are going to clash over this third part, because he disrespected Mother Teresa, and his sister was with Skanderbeg 🙂. Osho is a clever fox, but he didn't realize that God is much more immediate and important than that. Love is the foundation of realizing God. Basically, he claims pornography might help you with the next step, but I'm not backing down on this one. 😉 He says, "Sure, pornography might help a little here, but not much. You'll have to dive deeper into sexual energy. You'll have to learn about tantra again." Everything I'm aiming for is this: I want to present the world with a new tantra, a new vision of love, and an insight into the reality of the orgasm—because the orgasm is your greatest gateway to finding God, harmony, and truth. Gotta go...

Happy New Year 🙂

But watch out for your imagination—it’s actually more dangerous than the internet. It's where everything starts, and it's the one place you can retreat to if you really want to beat the madness and fight off the temptation 🙂
that devilish stuff. It's just pure earthly nonsense. I've seen some quotes out there that totally twist the page of the white lotus...

Honestly, it was pure desperation that pushed me toward God. He called to me a long time ago... we’re all just blind, drifting through our own misery, following whatever path lands us in the gutter. I spent my time digging into the Bible, really sitting with the words of Jesus. What I realized is that when you lie down and take those deep, conscious breaths—just filling yourself with peace while prepping for prayer—everything changes. You start feeling these thoughts surfacing, and if they actually make sense, you have to sit with them. You can't just let them slip away without purpose. One wrong move and you ruin everything ahead of you. You need God’s grace and some actual compassion. It's better to weep internally; that's when you're closer to Him. Some people claim they feel angels or whatever, but look, just pray to God and He will manifest right before your eyes. You'll undergo this massive internal shift, but for that to happen, you have to cut out all the stupid, useless distractions. You've got to let go of the nonsense. Even if you lose your temper or snap, He won't hold it against you if it leads to being filled with strength and momentum. But be careful—there’s no way out once you're in. Once you finally resist temptation, it's crazy how you've already conquered it by the next day. But man, that temptation? It wants you *right now*... what a life.

Nah, 🙂 it’s a song, you just reminded me... before I reached enlightenment, I remember observing everything around me the way they describe in Buddhism. I felt like a pure observer, like I’d actually stepped inside myself! Even in my dreams, I felt wide awake.

It’s basically a song about love—or rather, that feeling you get when you're praying to God. Honestly, I'm almost embarrassed to admit it, I can barely even look at it, but man, it’s important...

Yeah, I was checking out 🙂 🙂 scrolling through the White Lotus by Osh and stumbled onto some serious wisdom...

"They say Moses' face glowed when he caught a glimpse of God up in the mountains. His face became so radiant that he actually had to cover it, putting a veil over his face. He came back to his people wearing that veil. They were confused and asked him, 'Why are you covering your face?' And Moses replied: 'Because it became so bright, so full of light, and I don't want to look holier than everyone else.' That’s what true holiness is. 'I don't want to prove I'm superior to others, but my face is so filled with light that if I walked among you without a veil, everyone would think I was chosen, that God descended into me, or that my heart was touched and transformed by God.' It's a beautiful story, incredibly significant—that's how the holy always lived: behind a veil. They live like ordinary human beings; that's the point of the story. It doesn't mean they literally hide their faces—you don't need to do that. It's not about hiding, because that just draws even more attention to you."

"You'd expect Buddha to let women into his circle more easily than Mahavira did. But Mahavira allowed them in without any hesitation—not once did he say no. On the day the first woman asked him, he initiated her immediately, just like he did with the men. Yet Buddha kept turning women away for another ten years. His own disciples kept pushing him to change. They’d cry and wail, 'This isn't right!' and he’d just respond, 'I'll think about it.'"

"You can only grasp what you can meet on the level you currently exist. There was this Zen teacher who got caught stealing small things a few times. He was a highly respected teacher, so his students asked him: 'Why are you doing these ridiculous things? What's the point of all this? We're ready to give you whatever you want—you don't have to steal!' But the teacher would just smile and say nothing. He'd get hauled off to jail for a few days, and as soon as he got out, he'd do it again. Near the end of his life, his students finally asked, 'Please, tell us your secret!' And the teacher answered: 'The secret is simple. I wanted to help prisoners in the cell, and they could only understand me if I was a prisoner just like them. There was no other way to help them. I had to drop down to their level so I could help them rise up to mine.'"

Prayer of St. Francis

Lord, make me an instrument of Your peace!
Where there’s hatred, let me plant love;
Where there’s injury, let there be forgiveness;
Where there’s discord, let there be harmony;
Where there’s doubt, let there be faith;
Where there’s despair, let there be hope;
Where there’s darkness, let there be light, and
Where there’s sadness, let there be joy.
Divine Teacher, let me not seek
so much to be comforted as to comfort;
to be understood as to understand;
to be loved as to love;
because it is in giving that we receive;
and it is in forgiving that we are forgiven;
and it is in dying that we are born into eternal life.

from Lives of the Saints, Swami Sivananda

You could say the same thing about King Solomon. He lived in absolute luxury and had wives straight out of a storybook, but God only took issue with one thing: toward the end of his life, he started bowing down to his wives' gods.

Benjamin Taylor6 said:Enough with all the endless theorizing. It’s high time we actually put this into practice! I mean, seriously—how does one actually pray correctly? Who are we talking to, and what's the actual protocol? Is there some kind of "casual" way to do it while you're just going about your day? For instance, at my office, I usually have a sung Mass playing in the background during my eight-hour shift. But, well... let's just say my coworkers aren't exactly the most spiritually engaged crowd. So, most of the time, it ends up being a total solo mass for me. Just me and the music.
And besides, there are plenty of prayers out there—here’s one that’s more for the recreational side of things: I’ve been sitting here thinking about this whole mess—really chewing on it—and I can't help but feel like we're just circling the drain of our own making. It’s one of those things where you think you see the pattern, you think you’ve finally grasped the underlying structure of the chaos, only to realize you were looking at a shadow on the wall. And honestly? It’s exhausting. I was reading some old stuff the other day—nothing too heavy, just some reflections on how we perceive reality—and it struck me how much we struggle with the concept of "being." We spend so much energy trying *to be* something specific, trying to force a certain identity or status, that we completely miss the actual experience of existence. It’s like trying to catch water with a net; the harder you squeeze, the more you lose. There’s this idea in some spiritual circles—not that I’m preaching here, mind you—but even when you look at the teachings of someone like Osho, there's this constant push toward presence. But instead, we gravitate toward this frantic, restless energy. We want the ecstasy without the discipline. We want the destination without the walk. It’s a fundamental flaw in how we approach life in America today—this obsession with the "next thing" that prevents us from ever actually arriving. I remember back when I was living in Chicago—just a kid really, full of misplaced confidence—I thought I had my entire philosophy figured out. I spent months convinced that if I just followed a specific set of rules, everything would click into place. Pure arrogance, looking back. I was trying to legislate my way into peace. You can't do that. It’s not a legal contract; it's an internal shift. It reminds me of what Michael Roberts9 was saying earlier—that sense of frustration when the external world refuses to align with our internal expectations. It’s maddening. You do everything "right," you follow the steps, you play by the rules, and yet the universe seems to be laughing at you. But maybe that laughter is the point? Maybe the friction is exactly what we need to wake up? If everything went smoothly, we’d all just drift off into a permanent, mindless stupor. We need the resistance to know we’re even alive. It’s a tough pill to swallow, especially when you're in the middle of the grind, but there's a certain grim necessity to it.

Let’s just be real for a second—Osho is clearly miles ahead of both you and me. It’s written all over this picture: I honestly can't wrap my head around why people still cling to these outdated notions—it’s almost exhausting to watch. I was sitting in a coffee shop in Seattle the other day, just minding my own business, when I overheard this guy trying to lecture someone about "tradition" as if that somehow justifies being completely wrong about how the world actually works. It’s the same pattern, really. We see it all the time in these discussions. People get so caught up in their little bubbles that they lose sight of the bigger picture—the actual reality of things. They argue over minutiae while missing the forest for the trees. And frankly, it’s frustrating. You try to bring up a logical point, a grounded perspective, and suddenly you're the one being unreasonable? Please. It takes a certain kind of stubbornness to ignore what's right in front of your face. We need to move past this constant need for validation through old, tired ideas and start looking at things with a bit more clarity. If we don't, we're just spinning our wheels in the sand. Anyway, that's just my two cents—not that anyone ever seems to want to hear a reasoned argument around here.

But Osho actually said it—about those saints—that they’re just incredibly boring people! 😲

Actually, my friend's mother went through all of this right at the end of her life—she had Alzheimer’s, so she was essentially living like a plant. It sounds strange, I know, but she was completely stripped of everything that usually makes people difficult... you know, the egoism, the constant need to please others, that unbearable irritability, selfishness, vanity, possessiveness, greed, and all that bitter resentment. She just wasn't there anymore.😲

Man, that’s just boring! Like, what was he even trying to get at? Is he actually contradicting everything he’s teaching us? People call things boring just because they don't live up to their own damn expectations. Even Jesus spent three years preaching—talk about a drag!

Nicholas Gonzalez73, you're absolutely right. 🙂

So, there’s this old story about a wealthy ruler who offered a spiritual teacher a spot living at his palace. Once the guy actually accepted, he couldn't stop being shocked by how worldly everything turned out to be. I'll dig up the full story and post it here so you guys can see what I mean. The point is, God doesn't want us to be broke in the real world; He wants us to be rich spiritually, and that's when the blessings actually start flowing. It's like that old Greek saying—I know nothing. When you finally put yourself in a position where you admit you don't have all the answers, that's when the spiritual doors actually swing open. On the flip side, we all know those people who think they’re experts on everything? They aren't learning a damn thing.
I'll teach you how to pray! in Spirituality ·
One day we’ll finally get those answers when Jesus shows up in all His glory 🙂
Osho reminded me that I once dug into Tantra—it’s top-tier insight. Honestly, I can't recall a single word from it, but the vibe stuck, and that's where I caught the essence... I even had a realization: you don't need to grind so hard, you just have to channel everything you've got inward. Truth is, Osho is way sharper than me; he just calls it like he sees it while I'm still stumbling around blind... he definitely won this one 😉

But look, you’ve gotta cry out to God. It’s written that you need to return to Him with your whole heart, and coming from Osho, that hits way harder 😉
I’ve done exactly what I described above and it worked for me. I had my reasons to go that route, but does anyone else feel like they need to?
