Gold: Past, Present, and Future in Other Investment Types ·
I wasn't suggesting traveling specifically to hunt for gold. My thought was more about picking up some bullion while I'm already abroad, taking advantage of their local market rates. Since your calculations for profitability seem to factor heavily in travel expenses, I've concluded that buying overseas makes much more sense for me. My trips aren't dictated by whether the gold market is hitting a certain price point. Besides, I took some time to run a few comparisons on the pricing myself.
Thanks anyway.

I personally made my purchase through

Shipping to the States runs about $30...

I haven't. I've been monitoring the markets in Washington, D.C., because I'll be visiting there more frequently and plan to buy locally. Since I'm flying, I am quite concerned about whether carrying that much gold will trigger any issues with Customs agents.

Greetings, everyone. I hope you are all doing well.
I am looking for some insight regarding the pricing at the branch in Washington, D.C. (https://www.ophirum.de/de/shop). How does it compare to what we are seeing currently in the States? I have already checked Bank of America and Morgan, but I worry I might be overlooking another major distributor.
Also, is there any issue with transporting gold via plane within the U.S. without incurring extra fees?
Thank you in advance.
