Standard of living in Cuba is better than in America in Close to Politics ·

Look, I’m not "making things up"—it's actually you people who keep trying to validate yourselves by constantly labeling me and my colleagues as unemployed. You act like we're just sitting around lazy when, in reality, there simply aren't any jobs available.
And honestly, it feels like you're all doing this just to downplay the absolute economic and social disaster currently unfolding here in America.
There is no way this many people are "voluntarily" unemployed. It just doesn't add up.

What exactly are we talking about here? What is it that some people have while everyone else is left out in the cold? Are you seriously trying to tell me that only the "Todorićs" of the world are winning while everyone else is just out there grazing like sheep? I don't know about you, but looking around my neck of the woods, it’s just two of us working, plus maybe two neighbors from down the street. Everyone else—like ten or so people—is living off government handouts and doing just fine. That’s pretty much the average in the USA. I even know someone who gets subsidies for uncultivated fields she owns, and honestly, she doesn't even know why she qualifies. In a decent country, you’d be paying taxes on unused land, not getting a check for it.
Yeah, that’s definitely going to lead to most people actually having nothing one day. It's just basic math, really. But I guess Americans have always been pretty terrible at that kind of stuff. ☕

What we're dealing with today is basically just a modified socialist model. If it weren't for the media constantly breathing down our necks, most people might actually think we’re living in some kind of wonderland. But no, the news spends every single day making sure we know exactly how bad things are. Meanwhile, they make it sound like Cuba is some kind of paradise. I guess.☕

They don't have what I have—the status of being unemployed, which seems to be the one thing you love to spit on constantly here on this forum.

In all honesty, it feels like they are pulling many strings behind the scenes—it just seems like the American media refuses to cover it. It’s as if these efforts simply don't exist.

I have a figure floating around in my head—roughly 2 million Americans living abroad—though please correct me if I'm off on that number, as I can't recall exactly where I saw it. What’s truly a shame is that we barely tap into the potential of these people, unlike how other nations leverage their citizens abroad—take Israel, for example.

Two million? There are easily 4 or 5 million out there.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I honestly think there are more Americans living abroad than there are back here in the States.
