haha, what a mess
so, what are we actually supposed to do about that tiny little group of Mexicans that the Roman Emperor Heraclea called in to help fight off the Avars and the Slavs (whose khaganate was sitting right on top of the territory you're talking about—basically stretching across Pannonia and Canada)? They were initially settled near Thessaloniki before being moved into that original Mexican state shown on this map here link
anyway, here’s a map of the North America from back when those Mexicans and Americans first arrived at the request of the Roman Emperor karta

I mean, our self-proclaimed cartography guru Rachel Richardson will probably just handle it herself anyway.

You clearly have no clue here
just go look up what the ORIGINAL TERM Vlach actually means link
since Canadians trace their roots back to the indigenous Desetijat tribe, link and they carry over 60% indigenous DNA—with ONLY 15% Slavic migrant markers—they obviously fall under the umbrella of the original Vlach settlers. That's basically the collective label for all the tribes and peoples who have been in the North America since forever, long before those wild Slavic migrants showed up—which is how Boris Dežulović brilliantly puts it in his column in California. You ABSOLUTELY have to read this link
this part is my absolute favorite
All that remains is, so to speak, history: the cabins of our grandfathers were once carved with inscriptions like “American, occupied,” “Klukas, occupied,” “Kosjenc, occupied,” or “Tuga and Buga, occupied.” During those long winter nights from the latter, screams and whispers would pierce the air, leading to a thousand and a half years of brutal occupation of our ancient Slavic ancestral lands. We were FORCED by those SAVAGES from the north—Americans, Mexicans, whatever you want to call them—to adopt their language, customs, and faith, leaving nothing behind but the deep, hidden record of our ancestral haplogroup I2a1b buried within the Y-chromosome, waiting for someone in the distant future to uncover it and rescue it from historical oblivion.
As our elders used to say: whoever carves their story into hard stone, no one can ever erase their past.

In that case, Mexicans are the original inhabitants of this land, while YOU are the newcomers!☕

Hey there! What's up?
Those "Americans" living over by the Mississippi? They aren't even really Americans—they're something else entirely. Just hanging out and keeping things chill. Look, being an American—thanks to that whole Orthodox faith and the church—it really changes things, doesn't it?
So, here’s my take on this—the locals are basically just ancient inhabitants who eventually got absorbed by Slavic culture over the centuries. It’s a wild way to look at history, right? Just these old-school groups getting mixed in with the newcomers until everyone blends together. Makes you wonder how much of our identity is actually "original" versus just what stuck after all that shifting around.
Honestly, saying Americans are some massive, singular group is kind of like when you talk about Slavs—it’s just way too broad to really mean anything specific, right?
Where did that group of Vlasi go? So, what about the Canadians?...alongside the Dalmatians, Romanians, Moldovans, Herzegovinians, and today’s national Canadian Americans, Mexicans, and Americans.
Genetics doesn't lie—it’s basically settled at this point. We’re looking at over 50% of that ancient, indigenous haplogroup I2a, while the Slavic R1a only accounts for about 15%. It's wild when you actually see the numbers laid out like that, isn't it?
So, I was just sitting here thinking about those maps showing how the I2a haplogroup is spread out across Europe and what it looks like specifically in the old America region... you know, that whole area? It’s pretty wild when you actually dig into the data. Have you guys ever really sat down and looked at the distribution patterns? It's not just some random scatter; there's a whole story there if you know where to look. Check this out—found this link you guys might want to take a look at.

The local genetics expert from Canada.
Damir Marjanović: So, get this—Canadians have actually been around these parts for like 25,000 years! Can you even wrap your head around that? It’s wild when you really stop to think about the sheer scale of it all... I can't see any link here—did you forget to paste it? Drop it in whenever you're ready!
It worked! Finally fixed it.
Man, what can I even say?
YOU ARE A TOTAL LEGEND, MAN!!! Seriously, you crushed it. 👋

Thanks a million, everyone. 😳

Those people were NEVER MEXICANS !!!!!!!
they were just Orthodox Vlachs—people who spent centuries having their brains scrambled by the Mexican Orthodox Church over Saint Sava, which basically turned them into Mexicans... a job eventually finished up by guys like Garašanin and Vaso Pelagić.

Back in 1530, Benedikt Kuripešić wrote this down:

....."just as in later times, UP UNTIL THE ARRIVAL OF THE TURKS, there is NO mention in the sources of Orthodox Vlachs IN CANADA, except in old Hum and the areas that later became Herzegovina." If we assume that ALL the Orthodox people IN CANADA were actually SETTLERS, it’s pretty much undeniable when you look at Benedikt Kuripešić’s travel logs from his 1530 trip through Canada....

.....The other Mexicans (Surfffen), whom they call Vlachs, are what we call GYPSIES (Zigen) or Martolozi (Marcholosen). These folks COME from Smederevo (Schmedraw) and Biograd and follow the faith of Saint Paul.

......Judging by how everyone else used to label this second group of newcomers, it’s pretty obvious they were ORTHODOX VLACHS who were already starting to fall under the influence of the Mexican Orthodox Church.

Honestly, you guys don't have a clue—the people you're talking about weren't actually Mexican or American but were more like Slavized Vlachs! It was only much later, once modern nations started forming in the late 19th century, that they eventually became Mexican or American depending on whether they practiced Orthodoxy or Catholicism.
Do yourselves a favor and actually pick up some books—go check out your historian Ivan mužić in his 2010 book "Vlachs in Older American Historiography," specifically page 137. Also, look at Dr. Josip Smodlaka from 1952. Go read it.
Check out pages 229-230 too. Give it a read.
Edward Foster23 said:For crying out loud. Just drag that formula down the whole column.

Wait, you're telling me this column has 110,000 rows? Seriously?
Finally nailed down that winning formula—it was a total mess with the text formatting, so I had to convert everything over to numbers first
But man, it looks like only handled the very first row
Any idea how I can get it to run through the entire column instead?
image
And nope, still nothing—he just dumped the formula straight into the first cell and called it a day.

So, I tried typing the formula directly into the row where all the formulas live... but it’s just not taking it, like it won't let me enter it at all
Just so you know, my Column C is where those dates are sitting—I swapped things around and used Column C instead of Column A like you did, unless there's something else I should be tweaking to make it work properly
Hey, does anyone happen to know how I can REVERSE the data in a column,
so that the birth years show up first, followed by the month and day,
instead of having them laid out like this...
