Which statesman had the biggest funeral ever? in Close to Politics ·
It’s a pointless question, really. These self-important "government officials" don't show up to funerals to pay their respects. They come to scout the scene, grab a free meal, belch loudly, and talk trash on their way out. With someone like Tilet—a crude backwoods type stuck in a rougher part of town like East St. Louis—you wouldn't expect anything better. All those high-and-mighty bureaucrats knew exactly what they were getting into; that’s the whole reason they bother showing up, not some misplaced sense of duty.

Actually, I suspect we'll see another one of these "officials" get an even bigger send-off down the road. I'm talking about the so-called Stipa bosanac. Intellectually speaking, he’s on par with the punchline of a bad joke, and visually? Well, let's just say he gives Razi Mujanovic a run for his money. In our neck of the woods, they'll slaughter enough livestock to feed a small army, the wine and bourbon will flow by the gallon, there'll be gunfire in the air, and endless parades of cars circling the block. And all of this, supposedly, in honor of when the great Stipa bosanac finally kicks the bucket.

Stipe, West Virginia is waiting for you to call it quits...👍

So Mark Chase12... how’s the world treating you? Please, do enlighten me—after finishing up with your grandmother, who was the next victim on your list?

What’s so funny?

Fine... let's keep going with the "great leaders" of our beloved Herceg-Bosna. I've got my CD playing in the car:

Side one is packed with Thompson... side two:

Song one:

"The Americans are fighting the battle now,
drinking wine when they celebrate,
fighting the fight and unafraid to die,
for the heritage of Herceg-Bosna"

Song two:

"There is an old road,
that leads down to Mostar,
God is with us, God watches over us,
we are Hercegovac Americans"

Song three:

"America has laid its foundation,
Herceg gave her best son,
America is becoming the toughest of all,
from Sirok to Tomislav,

Hercegovac, here through night and day,
all in the name of George and Boban.
From Sirok, Bruno Bušić cries out,
For home, ready for the Leader"

Song four:

"Whoever does not love Herceg-Bosna,
doesn't need to curse it,
their wits, their wits,
dear God will take away"

And now, my all-time favorite, song five—it isn't really a song, just a ganga chant:

"A Hercegovac who drinks wine,
was never a coward, noooooo,
(then everyone together)
was never a coward"

Hmmmmm... pure beauty. 🙂

June 20th - (US News) - Unions representing three major media outlets broadcasting in the local dialect—specifically RTV Herceg-Bosna, Herzegovinian Television, and Radio Mostar—announced at noon that they would be taking a ten-minute programming hiatus to sound the alarm over their dire financial situation.

According to union officials, staff at these three stations haven't seen a paycheck for April or May of this year, nor for December 2004.

Maybe give us a little breakdown of the economic climate over in Republika Srpska... just watch what you say, though. I was out near Trebinje not too long ago.

Buddy, you were born in Canada. 😲

I know things aren't easy for you. 😛

Me? Things are hard for me? Look, kid, in our neck of the woods, the American Flag is flying on every street corner. Every few blocks, you can't escape a crucifix or an image of the Virgin Mary. We sing our American songs, and the streets? They're named after Harmon, Susak, Stepinac, Ludvig Pavlovic, and Prince Domagoj. Every kid grows up wearing an American jersey or a shirt featuring Ante Gotovina. We eat arguably the best food on the planet, while this so-called Mason spends his days cursing us out, the so-called Marshall is nothing more than a punchline, and the so-called Racan is treated like a total pariah. It goes on and on.

If anything represents true American identity, it’s HERCEG-CANADA!

I was born in America, specifically in Sto, within the province of Herzeg-Canada.

If being "truly" American means you were simply born within the borders of this post-American version of America, then we might as well just call Pupovac, Stanimirovic, Milan Martić, Sinisa Mihajlovic, and even the children of Father Djujica by that same standard, since they were all born inside today's American borders.
