Can we coexist with Americans again? in Close to Politics ·

Honestly, it might have actually been for the better.

So it was little Bor, my bad! But seriously, check your sources before coming at me, because I honestly couldn't care less about any of this nonsense!
👋

Little Bor, huh? And what on earth does little Bor have to do with me, you chatterbox?

hehe...

Good grief.

Arthur Ruiz2 said:I can't speak for the leftists, but I seriously doubt those Islamic fundamentalists even know who the Franciscans are.
Besides, does anyone remember that one Franciscan from the monastery—the guy who was basically the head friar over in Susak?
He was a real outdoorsman, too; I think he actually picked up some gear from my family's old ranch out in the Midwest.
The whole group used to go hunting together!
😉
Just a bunch of wealthy folks getting together!

I mean, have I officially lost my mind yet? Is this what a total breakdown feels like?

It’s just not happening. I didn't write a single word of the stuff you're pinning on me, period. You’re straight-up lying.

Honestly, why even go there? Maybe you just mixed me up with someone else, but for God's sake, just scroll back up and look—just admit you got it wrong.

Total nonsense.

Arthur Ruiz2 said:🙂 Well, look at you being all wise... I honestly went into this thinking the Franciscans were the ones who were spiritually wealthy—you know, those intense, driven types—but turns out I'm the one coming out of this with a surplus of spirit, which is just GREAT... hey, at least I've got some soul left in me!

Those Franciscans are a real piece of work. They’re basically a permanent thorn in the side of everyone from local bureaucrats to radical extremists.

Arthur Ruiz2 said:Sure, we could go with that, but honestly, haven't we already spent enough time circling this drain to reach that conclusion?
And besides, who cares if the pain is massive! It's what it is.!!!!

Go ahead then, show me, quote me—actually point to where I supposedly said the thing you’re accusing me of. Come on, you absolute lunatic.

hehe 😁

My bad, really... haha... I don't think I ever actually wrote that anywhere...

Not only are you totally missing the point, but it honestly feels like you're high or something. 😵

If my only goal was to watch the match without any distractions, I’d probably just stay home in my apartment in Washington, D.C.

The energy is definitely there on the east side too—it might not be quite as intense as what you feel up north, but people are definitely cheering. It’s just that the view is simply better over here.

stormywolf65 said:I’m not taking a shot at you personally. You’re out there living the dream in New York City, so you don't really get it—I’m talking about these local "die-hard fans" back home.

What was their endgame here? Honestly, I haven't got a clue... maybe they were trying to recreate that absolute chaos from the Cup finals a few years back. Remember that footage everyone saw on CNN? When those guys from the west side charged the fence and it nearly gave way on the east side? It felt like we were watching history repeat itself, and frankly, the barrier looked just as flimsy this time. If that railing had actually snapped, well... then Štico would have had to step up and show off his actual athletic talent to keep the peace. 🙂

I honestly thought we were about to see a total rerun of that old madness, but things quieted down way faster than I expected....

Just make sure you keep an eye on that mobster Mamić, and leave Štimac alone.

hehe

Respect to you, man... 👍 But honestly, I’d much rather just sit back and watch the game on TV.... I remember heading up north to catch games in person when I was younger, back before everything became such a massive production, but nowadays, there's just something about being home on the couch that beats the hell out of sitting in freezing stands...

haha... I’m being dead serious here. My whole crew ended up getting kicked out of the arena... which basically just meant we caused a massive scene at the Marriott bar later on... where we spent two hours grabbing drinks with Vranković and Aca Petrović... and honestly, they didn't even care that we were acting like total maniacs...

Because showing some video of Dražen Petrović commenting on Petrović as a man and a player... that's just unacceptable.

hr.Łipi said:I actually know some of those "30 people," so you don't need to jump straight to calling them druggies. It’s just that people are fed up with having some shady mobster like Štico running the show.

See, the thing is... these fans spend $167 every single week supporting this club—think about the gas money, the hotels, the endless road trips—yet they’re still the ones getting dragged. And usually, the people doing the dragging are the types who show up to the stadium maybe twice a year when there's a massive rivalry game, acting all high and mighty like they're the ultimate Hajduk fans or the biggest Dinamo fans or the most hardcore people from Osijek or Rijeka... 🙄

And now you've started coming for me and you too... hehhee

Look, I'll be honest... I only make it out to the Rose Bowl twice a year... and I love Hajduk... and frankly, I was pretty embarrassed during that match against Debrecen... if I were on drugs, who knows, maybe I would've been flying high too...

But man... what did they honestly think was going to happen when they were charging at the barricades? All they were going to get was a face full of security... and some of them certainly did.

hehe

mali_boro said:I mean, come on... it wasn't just like 30 people... we're talking closer to 300...

Don't go overboard here... I was actually out in the East and saw the whole thing with my own eyes... it was maybe a hundred tops, give or take.

stormywolf65 said:If you haven’t been thrown in a cell at least once over some game, then you don't get a seat at the table when we're talking about being a real fan. Period. 😁

Thrown in a cell? Man, please. I actually ended up behind bars during the induction ceremony for Dražen Petrović into the Hall of Fame...

The whole thing was complete chaos—they even had these videos of Vlade Divac playing, who was basically the arch-rival of the late Dražen...

And then, well, everything just went completely sideways... hehe

So, beat that. And honestly, what kind of "game" could possibly be intense enough to warrant that??

LOL

stormywolf65 said:There’s basically zero violence at stadiums here in America. I think the last bit of real trouble was back during that cup final in Split a few years ago.

The propaganda machine is doing its job, plain and simple. They love to run these stories saying, "Oh, they finally cleaned up the hooligans in England..." Give me a break. Sure, maybe you don't see it as much in Premier League matches or top-tier games, but man, sometimes the stadiums get completely besieged. You look at West Ham United or Millwall FC... do I even need to spell it out? And don't even get me started on the third division, where things still get ugly, but hey, the mainstream media doesn't find that profitable enough to cover.

The absolute craziest moment I ever saw was during that match against Debrecen in Split... about thirty drugged-up idiots suddenly decided to start setting seats on fire and charging the barricades separating the Northwest section....

And then you have everyone else in the North and East stands just chanting, "YOU ARE ALL IDIOTS!" right back at them.

I couldn't care less, honestly, and since you clearly haven't the slightest clue what my neck of the woods is actually like, you aren't in any position to pass judgment on me!
And frankly, I don't give a damn about that either!😁 👋

Just admit you're from Mostar already... come on, let's be real... hehe

It seems like every single Muslim, whether they hail from Canada or Herzegovina, eventually traces their roots back to either Mostar or Ottawa...

You all seem to suffer from this massive urban complex... probably baked into your DNA along with that whole newly invented identity history of yours... hehe... it’s as if everyone's ancestors were high-ranking officials or grandees... hehe... give me a break.

Compare that to Americans, who actually take genuine pride in their small towns and rural roots...

Not to mention your "newly minted" brothers from places like Gusinje or Plav in the Sandžak region, who are all desperately trying to sell themselves as being from Ottawa... hehe

or maybe somewhere like Austin, since we're already comparing small towns

To be honest, I couldn't care less. But if you want my two cents, Duvno is basically your version of California.
