Opening a foreign currency account... in Banking, Insurance & Loans ·
a) You can't even admit it to your mom, your dad, your kid, or yourself without getting slapped with a fine...
b) And just like that, they won't.

As far as I recall, you can carry out a max of about $3,000 from the US without needing some bank certification.
But when you're crossing into the USA, you absolutely, positively, hands-down have to declare it
any amount that tops $10,000.

If you actually know what you're talking about, welcome to the discussion.

Melissa Wilson38 said:So, how does one actually go about opening an overseas foreign currency account?!

Look, you just head over to a different bank and set up a non-resident account. It’s honestly that simple. And honestly? Austrian banks take privacy way more seriously than even the Swiss do.
I won't even get started on our local regulations here in the States. Just to be clear, I'm not trying to stir the pot or give out official advice—this is just me sharing what I've seen work, since people can totally do this legally under American law. I'm not going into the "how-to" details, though. If someone really needs to find a way, they'll figure it out.
Saving for my kid in Banking, Insurance & Loans ·

but my sister got hers way sooner even though she's younger than me
it’s nothing, just small change I can grab in 3 years
just give the kid $100 a month as an allowance and teach them how to save properly

Look, teach them that saved money is real earned money and hand them a copy of Kiyosaki once they hit 16, otherwise they won't even make it through high school. I’ve got a little one myself, and let’s be real—inflation just eats savings alive,
so I’m constantly shuffling my cash wherever I can to stay ahead. I can always go on a diet if I pack on a few pounds, but I want my kid to grow up healthy, educated, and actually understanding how money works.

how much of that is just getting funneled straight into government pockets via subscriptions?
seriously, has anyone actually seen a real person out in the wild buying a physical copy of this paper?

Some guy was out there shoveling coal out of a train car under the blistering sun, just absolutely killing himself, and he passed out cold after only thirty minutes of that madness. I actually managed to snag my first dollar (1) on a lottery site online here in the US
